I stayed here for one night on a business trip. Brand new hotel. Staff is more than helpful. Very clean modern rooms. Beds are the best yet! Breakfast is very good. They were very happy to get whatever I wanted. Very good value on this hotel also. I would highly recommend to anyone traveling for Oil and Gas.

This is a new hotel that has very good service. The rooms are very nice, too. The problem is that the hotel is populated by Oilfield Trash. Seriously, these people are sub-human. They are filthy, vulgar, imbeciles who ruin the atmosphere of the hotel. They sit in the lobby every night and drink beer talking complete filth. As they get drunk, they get louder and more vulgar. I cannot imagine bringing a family into this hellhole. One night there was even one with no shirt or shoes sitting at a table in the lobby drunk and spouting filth. The front desk personnel do nothing about the drinking and vulgarity. I cannot imagine what these disgusting people are doing to the rooms. Certainly the hotel will soon be a dump if this is their clientelle.

Room Tip: If you must stay here, request a room far away from the oilfield people.

This is a recently opened Hampton and it looked it ! Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The fresh baked chocolate chip cookies at the desk won us over immediately !!! As always, Hampton complimentary breakfast was very good.

BeverlyD- I am so glad you loved our Hampton Inn! We are in such a small town, but the town has a lot of small charm. We have a restored movie theater, wonderful restaurants, antique shops, and a winery. We are glad you had a nice stay and hope to see you again when you pass through.

This is a new Hampton Inn. It is spotless. Has great staff who are very pleasant, friendly and helpful. The hotel has an indoor pool (which I didn't use) and the best Hampton Inn breakfast I have eaten (compared to other Hampton Inns in which I have stayed). When we arrived I asked for a room NOT overlooking the parking lot and was given a room overlooking the creek and woods. Which was very nice. The room had a refrigerator, microwave and flat screen TV. It is close enough to Tunkhannock's "downtown" to walk, if you wanted to walk. The lobby is spacious and a great place to sit and read, which I did because I brought my elderly mother with me and we could not do a lot of walking, and did not want to spend all of our time in the room. Even though we came down for breakfast just before it was over, the food was plentiful and the staff did not hurry us. They are very gracious. Tunkhannock is a cute little town and there is a nice little park on the Susquehanna River not far from the hotel.
The only negative thing I can say is that, like every other chain hotel, one must rely on the air-conditioner for "fresh" air as all these hotels have windows which do not open.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not overlooking the parking lot.

Thank you for stay at the Hampton Inn Tunkhannock! I am glad you enjoyed the area and the location of the hotel. Downtown is very cute with nice little shops, a movie theater, and lots of delicious restaurants! The windows do open a little bit but unfortunately they do not open all the way, but we do have a nice little deck that overlooks the stream outside the pool area which is very relaxing.
