Our scooter club had our annual scooter rally at this hotel last year and will be having it again this year because this hotel has it all and was very accommodating. You cant find a better indoor pool and bar. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The bar has great food! The hotel's location is great too. The prices are reasonable. Plenty of parking. Comfy rooms. And from what I hear and have seen they are making upgrades. I know we can't wait to stay here again in April.

Thanks for the great review Heather!!! We enjoyed your group last year and are very much looking forward to hosting your group this year.

As you have seen, we are doing numerous renovations and are still doing more. Our lobby is being completed and then on to new rugs in our rooms and hallways.

Guests like you and your group make it easy for us to do our jobs and it is nice to hear that it is appreciated. I will certainly let the rest of our teams know how much they were appreciated and thank them on your behalf.

Ya, they're under renovations but to not even have a continental breakfast on a $100+ bill is poor. Inside restaurant doesn't open until 7am which is late for a traveler and you have to pay for breakfast, nothing is included. It is based on Puerto Rican style food and though it was supposed to be open when we arrived at night, we saw no one around so ended up crossing the street to waste more money at that restaurant. There were no cups at the coffee maker in the lobby and the woman at the desk was more interested in listening to the blaring TV. There are other places to stay in the area that are a much better value for the money.

Room Tip: Use another hotel.

I would like to take this time to apologize to you for the concerns you had during your stay.

The restaurant on property is leased out and although we try to insist that they are more consistent with their business, it is sometimes out of our control. I am sorry that they were not open for dinner when you arrived and that you were not able to have breakfast there. I will certainly discuss your concerns with them as it also reflects upon the hotel.

I would also like to apologize for the desk clerk I will speak to the department managers regarding your concerns and hope that maybe you will give us another chance when we are completely finished with our renovations.

This hotel is under new management and is in the process of renovating some of the lack of updates over the years.
The positives.....friendly staff and quick check-in.....staff answered all questions since we were new to town......and most important our actual room was clean, well equipped, and had new TV, micro, and fridge.
Negatives. Beside the main lobby most of the hallways and other areas the carpets and paint are dated. The pool area really should be closed until renovations are complete. And with Perkins right across the street the breakfast restaurant is doomed.
But the new management is definitely trying and with time it looks like they will make this better.
For now a good , clean place to sleep, but not much else until they get done.

I would like to thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. As you stated we are under quite a few renovations and are not done yet.

After the major renovation in our lobby and courtyard areas, the next step is the hallway and room carpets. We have done quite a few improvements in our rooms and are not done. I am glad that you noticed some of the updates that have been done.

Hopefully we will see you again in the future and you will see all that we have accomplished. It will be our pleasure to accomodate you again.

Hotel is under renovation, but a lot more will be needed to make this place want to come back. I like the way the rooms face the interior swimming pool. However these same rooms have a problem that they don't have central heating and air conditioning. Therefore, when you use the air conditioner install in the walls that same exhaust heat is vented back to the room. Also, theirs version of continental breakfast is a box of donuts, 1/2 dozen bagels, and a package of yellow cake.

I would like to apologize for the concerns you had with our new wall units in our rooms. Yes, we are under renovations and as such our hotel may not look its best. We are striving to bring it back better than before we started.

We do have some issues with the new wall units. Unfortunately, when they were installedl, they were not properly vented and we are in the process of fixing the problem as well as other issues that still need to be addressed.

Again I am sorry you were not happy with your stay and ask that you give us another try in the future when we are finished with all of our renovations.

Our first night there it was 28 degrees and our room had no heat. We called the front desk and were told that the owner doesn't have to put the heat on until a certain date. We spent the night freezing and miserable and both woke up with mild colds. When we went out of the room in the morning we found that the hallway was warm. When we went down to the front desk to complain they told us that the heat had been on the whole time and maybe the switch in the ceiling had not been switched yet to allow heat in our room. We were also told that the air conditioning unit in the wall has a heat setting, although they said it does not work very well. Because of the incompetence of the night staff we spent a night shivering under very thin blankets and trying to sleep in a 28 degree room. We may as well have slept in the car. The staff did fix our heat immediately, and Brian (the person sent to look at the heat) was very friendly, professional, and apologetic. However, the rest of the staff seemed unfriendly and uninterested, even though they were professional. The hotels I am likely to frequent are those that have staff that clearly enjoy their jobs and enjoy talking to their guests and making them feel welcome. We did not experience this there. I also was surprised to find that breakfast was not continental. I remembered breakfast being referred to on the reservation and just assumed it was continental, as it is with most hotels of this ilk. We decided to try it anyway and found that they had very little on the menu and were out of almost everything, even though we were the only people in the dining room. We ended up walking across the street to Perkins for breakfast for our entire stay, and eating in town for the rest of our meals. Overall I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. And I feel strongly that we should have been compensated for the night we spent freezing, however, because of the attitude of the staff we decided to just cut our losses and leave rather than push the issue.

I would like to take this time to apologize for the issues you had during your stay with us. As this is not the norm for our hotel, I have addressed your concerns with the appropriate staff as well as with the Owner and all of our department managers.

I am sorry that the night person mislead you concerning the heat. We adjust our temperatures as required dependent on the weather not time of year. If it is cold we have heat, and if it is warm we have the a/c on. We are in the process of fixing our system to allow each guest to control individual room temperatures as well as other renovations throughout the hotel.

Again I am sorry for the concerns you had during your stay and would like to ask you to come back in a few months when we are finished with our renovations, so that we can show you a better stay with us.

We stayed here after a long day of driving. We had a coupon so the rate was low. Overall this hotel has the potential to be a nice hotel, but just wasn't quite there. The lobby was nice and the room looked like some parts had been updated. However the bathroom was not appropriately cleaned. There was still hair in the shower and sink, and the toilet was not cleaned. Fortunately we had brought some disinfecting wipes with us and decided not to use the shower. The sheets seemed like they were fresh at least. The hallway seemed really musty but the room itself was ok. You get what you pay for, but I would likely not stay here again.

Room Tip: Some of the rooms on the first floor have an external entrance. Request a room on the second floor...

Stayed here for one night and don't believe I will be coming back to this location. The first impression was not a good one;the sign by the road has letters falling off, there was trash right by the entrance, and the front doors were not automatic and were in poor condition. The luggage cart was there but broken and it smelled like old food as soon as you walked in the front door. There is no elevator, (which I knew) but was still an inconvenience. You can't take the luggage cart past the pool entrance because it is a sunken pool area with steps down into it. Besides the lobby, the common areas of the hotel were not clean. We finally got to the room and opened the door and couldn't find a light switch, very annoying. The carpet was clean in the middle but around the edges was dusty. The phone was dirty. The rooms are extremely dated. The comforter on one of the beds needed to be replaced due to a stain on it. We tried to make a bag of popcorn and it kept tripping the power strip it was plugged into. I have to say the beds were comfortable and the shower was great. The next morning I tried to grab a coffee from the lobby for my wife and I and they ran out after one cup. Needless to say, the hotel ownership has some work to do to make it a nicer place for people to stay.
