“Old School Mini Golf”
Reviewed June 16, 2014

Family went here during our trip to Lancaster County and we weren't disappointed. Great course layout and we loved how the holes were in the woods and weren't on top of each other. Challenging without being too tough for the kids. Highly recommend if you like mini golf!

“The best miniature golf course we have played”
Reviewed May 17, 2014

Village Green is a miniature golf facility that keeps us coming back for more.

The facility actually has two courses - the orange and the gold course. Both are nice, but we prefer the gold course. The holes on this course are very interesting. They can require the usual skill, but can also be good for kids since the quirkiness of some of the holes are not only interesting, but can give equalize the game a bit, given those with less skill a fighting chance.

As you wander the gold course, which consists of 24 holes (23 holes plus the free game hole...the orange course has the usual 18 holes), you find yourselves in a wooded area filled with flower gardens, flowing streams, interesting bridges. The woods shield you from the sun, and the flowers (once everything fills out) make a bit like playing miniature golf in Longwood Gardens!

The holes are all unique. Many have water traps (if you go off the green), and a number of places where you hit the ball into one hole on the green, and the ball goes down an underground route coming out on a lower green at the same hole (this can even things out for the lesser skilled...they may, by chance, choose a hole that ill direct their ball to a hole-in-one on the lower green). Many holes have different routes to get to the hole, so you can choose your skill level.

The holes each present different challenges...from high hills, to longer distances, to narrow tracks, weird angles...you name it.

We have never done it, but the course does offer night-time "glow golfing" on certain evenings, and has other special events. You can get on their emailing list which not only gives you special deals, but also info. on new plantings, animal sightings, etc.

There is a snack bar on site with food, drinks etc., and with both indoor and outdoor seating. It is small, and there are not a tremendous number of seats.

We play this course several times each year and it is always a family favorite and a treat for the senses.

The cost for the two courses are slightly different, and for a larger family, the price can be a bit high (today, for two adults and one child, the cost was $25 for the gold course). Not unreasonable given this course, but not cheap. The cost makes it less of a "whim" item.

“nice family owned place”
Reviewed May 7, 2014

We have been coming here for years! It is a great place to take your children/family. The staff here is always very friendly and the place is very well maintained. They also offer a AAA discount.

“Best in area”

Tried two others and this was the most difficult but real fun on the Gold course. All the water hazards work well. Thanks for the lack of sand traps?

“Eh”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

We showed up and the staffs first words out of their mouth were "there's only the orange course available right now". Not "hi" so that was a little weird. We had no problem with the course so so went ahead to find a very poorly maintained course. The leaves and debris on the course had stopped the ball in certain areas and we had the clear the course at each hole before putting. There were Cobb webs and the water was stagnant, full of leaves and who knows what else. We had to get the ball out of the swampy water(gross)
