Was in State College for a workshop. A friend and I wanted something more upscale than the typical State College restaurant. Food was good and ; nice selection of wine. The mussels were perfect. My friend has a filet mignon that was done to perfection. The menu changes frequently which is something I really appreciate.

Good food but expensive. We paid $50 for a bottle of Italian blend wine, and then looked it up on line. A wine store in NJ sells it for $9.99! The acoustics in the restaurant is not good either; very loud and reverberant. You need to shout in order for you to be heard by your dining partner.

We enjoyed the food and the friendly, prompt service, but the noise was unbearably loud on a Friday night. The incessant noise considerably reduced my enjoyment of the meal. Three of us could barely converse using our normal voices. While some people may like the “buzz” in restaurants, I’m not one of them. I might recommend the restaurant but only with the caveat that diners should be prepared to have their ears insulted and assaulted.

It was a wonderful experience with GREAT FOOD! our waiter was awesome and very informative. It was a little pricey, but it was worth every penny! If I lived around here I would definitely be eating there at least once a month. :)
