“Great Dinner!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 27, 2012 via mobile

We celebrated our sons birthday here. Our waitress, Kayla, was very attentive, even getting our grandson more milk! items we had were the three dips, great! Greek pasta was awesome, gyro platters were good but a whole pita would have been better. The tomato soup was very good as well as the vegetable platter. We did appreciate Kayla making a request for cut up chicken and French fries for our grandson. Lack of a kids menu was the only reason I gave this 4 stars. We will definetly go back!

“Expensive for what you get”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 7, 2012

Food was fairly good, but the prices were high for the portions size.

“Glad to have this place in SC”

We need more options, and this place is a welcome addition. No attitude, reasonable prices, fast service, and good food. BYO is a great option

“Great place to eat and a good value”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 19, 2012

The Greek is still fairly new, owned by the same folks who own the legendary Waffle Shoppe nearby. It is hard to describe the Greek - you order at the counter, get a table, and they bring the food to you. The food is great, though the selection a bit limited. Our children both like the food also, a big plus in any restaurant. It is also BYOB, which is nice. The decor is fascinating with all the faux finishes, you might find yourself brushing the wall with your fingertips trying to figure out if the stone is real.

“Still excellent Greek - Now more expensive, slower, and not as much fun”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 1, 2012

This was a wonderful addition to the State College dining scene when it opened; food was authentic, fresh and tasty. It was relatively inexpensive, and you got the excitement of ordering it from the board, finding your own seating, and then having it brought to you. The new, very traditional, we'll take you to your seat, give you a menu, and then order, etc., just doesn't work, IMHO.

The space was beautifully redone to work with the original format; it doesn't work now. The registers and the "order board" are still there, so it looks out of place for "sit-down and order" dining. Price points moved up, and w/tips, it is no longer a bargain, nor is it as much "fun". The wait times are much longer at every step. The dishes are basically the same.

Bottom line, it is more expensive, slower, and not as much fun for the same food in a space that no longer fits. I will be surprised if it lasts in this format.
