“great choice if you need 'pet friendly'....or”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 4, 2013

just 'friendly' in general. This was our first stay in this area with our dog. We found the hotel to be very clean, with an exceptionally welcoming and helpful staff and a super dog-friendly environment. The room was quiet and breakfast was expansive (waffles, hot/cold cereals, eggs, toast, pastries, muffins, bagels, fruit, yogurt etc).

The desk staff gave us directions to places we could walk our dog and see the local sights.
The location is easily accessible to restaurants and even a bit of shopping within walking distance. Although the hotel grounds are small, they will more than adequately accommodate short morning/evening dog walks and pick-up bags and fresh water are readily available.

The rate was competitive...but a choice hotel promotion made it even better (be sure to check their website or sign up for the notices of promotions).

We've been to other pet-friendly hotels and this one would definitely get a top rating from us...and our dog! If we return to the area we would stay here again. it was a bit of a detour from our trip east on I-80, but definitely worth it.

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the main road, we thought it might be a bit noisy, but was perfectly quiet all n...

Not a bad night's stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. We booked this hotel for several nights when the motel we originally booked fell through. The staff was friendly and provided a military rate which is always appreciated. The room we stayed in had a handicap accessible shower which my wife and I were wary of at first. It end up working out without much of a problem. The bed was very comfortable and we got a ton of pillows. Currently the hotel is under construction and there are construction workers staying on the first floor of the hotel. They all get up and leave at the same time, so there was a lot of door slamming all at once around 6:30-7:00 AM. It bothered us the first day. Overall, a reasonably priced, comfortable room

Room Tip: April 2013 - Construction workers staying on the first floor so early mornings can be noisy.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights. It is located in a nice area near restaurants and a shopping center. The rooms were clean and nice. They had a good breakfast, to include a waffle maker. The only complaint is that there was construction. The ramps were blocked off so it was hard to get the bell hop cart to our car. It would have been hard for a handicap person to get in and out of building.

Stayed here one night. Great place.....breakfast was really good. The lady (didn't get her name) who takes care of breakfast was so nice and helpful. Aaron who checked us in was "The Best!". Friendly staff goes a long way in making a stay enjoyable. Hotel was clean and beds were comfortable. Price was great too. About a mile away from the college but I preferred that instead of being right in with the college scene.

Arrived early, but checking in was no problem. Room was very clean and comfortable. The only "complaint" (if you want to call it a complaint) was that there was no available outlet near the nightstand next to the bed, which was a minor inconvenience. Staff was very helpful and accomodating, especially when I thought I would have to extend my stay due to the changing weather conditions. I will most definitely stay here again!

Just needed a spot to stop and snooze the night before a flight out of the College Park airport. This fit the bill. It is convenient and Aaron accommodated with hardly a hesitation, when I asked to be switched to a main floor room. In the morning, I was greeted by several members of the staff, and found a spacious and well arranged breakfast room. The food is placed all around the perimeter and is spaced so as to provide ample room for access and to accommodate a large crowd (although it was empty when I arrived). There was a waffle maker, along with both cheese and veg omelets, bacon, yogurt, fruit, bagels and of course cereal, juice, and coffee. Tasty! Nicole took pride in her work as the server in the room, chatting with guests and getting empty plates and keeping things cleaned up.

The room was also pleasant and had all the needed amenities. Although there was a sign at the front of the property that told you it was being worked on, there was little to cause interruption or inconvenience.

Over all, there is much to like about the Quality Inn, and little in the area of needed correction.

Dear Puffinfan, I am very happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. Aaron and Nicole are both wonderful members of our very friendly and accommodating staff. When you fly out of University Airport next time feel free to leave you car here and catch the Nittany Airport Shuttle. They are very inexpensive and super reliable. I hope to see you again when we have finished the rebuilding of our permanent breakfast area. It will a larger and very inviting area to start the day. Thank you for staying with us! Heidi

As someone with pet allergies, I didn't realize pets were welcome at this hotel. I had to ride elevators with them, which caused an allergic flare. With that said, the hotel is clean, the shower large and the staff is great. The friendly, helpful woman at breakfast had the best attitude and customer focus of any hotel employee I've observed in a long time. The breakfast was great and WiFi speed sufficient.

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your stay. I am sorry that the pets we welcome caused you discomfort. I hope that it was only in the elevator! We do take additional steps to clean rooms that pets stayed in to ensure that our non-pet lovers rest comfortably in their rooms. I am very glad that, otherwise you found the hotel to be clean and comfortable. I shared your comments about breakfast with Nicole. That made her day! Thank you for staying with us. I hope we see you again soon! Heidi
