Not a bad Holiday Inn Express. You can tell it was renovated pretty recently. The rooms are not the most spacious but have a nice TV, microwave, mini fridge etc. The indoor pool was very clean and warm enough for us. The neighborhood could be better but nothing to worry about. Overall I'd stay here again if passing through Somerset.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your feedback

Thank you for liking our swimming pool because of it's cleanliness and warmness of water.

You said, our hotel looks like newly renovated. Actually, we like to inform you that our hotel is recently constructed. Building is new and all other stuffs in the room and also in a public area are new.

Fresh stuffs has different effect and that is the reason why we are far better than others - not only in Somerset PA but also arround 30 miles radius.

Expecting your next stay with us to serve you more better

Thank you

Good location, right off the PA Turnpike. Updated, clean, friendly front desk staff, great hot breakfast (love the pancake maker!!), very quiet, large rooms, comfortable beds. A few cons, but not deal breakers: only 1 (slow) elevator. Also, breakfast area was very crowded and chaotic. Smaller tables and chairs would help, along with more counter space for breakfast items. We will stay here again when we are in the area. Hopefully the price will be right, as it's pretty expensive for the average family.

We stayed for just one night on our way to Washington DC. Very nice hotel, better than all the surrounding places and decent prices. Very very clean, modern, quiet. Beds we're awesome! Nice free breakfast. The ONLY thing it was missing was a fan in the bathroom, room got a little hot and muggy after 4 showers! Would stay here again in a heartbeat, would definitely recommend this hotel!

Spent the night at this hotel after riding my motorcycle several hundred miles and needing a place to crash for the night. Hotel was easy to get to from the PA turnpike, and plenty of parking. The hotel was well kept, and the reception desk was friendly. Room was clean and modern, and the bed was very comfortable for a hotel bed. The free breakfast in the morning was a plus since we wanted to get an early start on the road and didn't feel like sitting in a diner. We would definatly stay again when passing through.

Stayed one night on the way to Shenandoah National park. We left behind our backpack which had our medications in it for our 10 day trip. The bag had our name and address on it. When we reached our destination we realized it was missing. It cost us $80.00 to replace what we needed for the rest of our vacation and $90.00 for UPS to over night it to our home. It would have been nice for the hotel to call us and let us know. After all they had the information from when we checked in!

My husband and I stayed here because we attended his annual family reunion. We both thought that the hotel was very clean. The only minor issue I had was that upon making the reservation via their 800 number, I was not told about the $10.00 debit card charge for any long distance calls, damage to the room. We did not make calls (long distance or local) while staying there. It was the hotel responsibility to inform me of this minor charge upon the reservation being made.

We checked into this hotel July 4th for two nights. On check-in we were given keys to our king-sized suite. We unlocked the door and walked into the filthiest hotel room on earth. There were strands of hair all over the sink and the toilet bowl. The bathroom floor was sticky like fly paper and also had several strands of hair on the floor, a dead roach under the sink, in addition to droplets and sticky puddles of urine around the toilet bowl and on he floor. We have photos that we can post upon request.

Someone came to clean. After she used the one rag in the filthy bathroom she attempted to dust the room with the same dirty rag used in bathroom until I stopped her . The linens were the only clean things in the room.

We were offered a different room which we accepted. The house keeping manager and one of the maids re-cleaned the new room before we moved in. They even mopped the floor. Everything looked acceptable until we turned down the sheets and found that the linens had not been changed from the previous guest. Again, we had someone change the linens including the dirty mattress pad while we waited.

After dinner with friends we returned to the room only to be startled by a piercing alarm and flashing lights inside the room. The second time it happened my husband called the front desk to inquire what was wrong. Front desk said that they would send someone to the room to investigate the mysterious alarm. It happen again! This time I opened the door to find a guest standing outside in the hallway looking quite frazzled. She had been assigned our occupied room for the night. The piercing alarm was caused by her attempts at using her room key to unsuccessfully enter the room.

This hotel has issues with the competency of the staff hired to work. From the pool to the filthy vending areas, to dirty rooms with unchanged linens indicates a pervasive pattern of laziness amongst the management and staff. We are leaving after one night
