We stopped here, ready to give Maggie Mae a try based in some good reviews. BUT what every reviewer has failed to mention thus far is that smoking is allowed here (there is a notice in the door). We walked in just to see how bad it was, and were hit with the blast of smoke that filled the dining area with a haze. Sorry Maggie - that was a deal breaker for us.

This is kind of a newer type bar but for a bar fly like me, it worked well. Had a burger here 1/2lb with peppers and it was great. The bar area is separate and the noise does not penetrate the dining area. Not sure who ever told bars that they had to have music that breaks the noise barrier but someone sure did. I would go back again

Our family was out for a day trip and we were looking for something other than a chain restaurant. We drove by Maggie Mae's Cafe and decided to give it a try. It was a pleasant surprise. The service was prompt and friendly. Not only did the food taste great but the presention was above standard for a bar/cafe. If you are ever in the area we recommend stopping by and trying it out for yourself. It is right off the Somerset exit of the PA Turnpike.

Just in Somerset for one night. Pulled into Maggie Mae's on a whim. We were early for dinner, so were seated quickly. Menu had no big surprises, but lots of interesting choices. We tried a BBQ turkey bacon wrap and a Jack Beef Calzone. Both were tasty and had generous amounts of meat. Side of coleslaw and an order of o-rings filled us up. Friendly courteous staff, 70's oldies on the music. Worked for us!

The staff was very nice and helpful when it came to choosing food from the menu. We stumble upon this place when looking for a craft beer to have with dinner. What a great selection! And the non smokers were separated from the smokers. That was really super!
