Nice way to start a vacation. Our first day of vacation we wanted something active and fun to clear our heads. This is the ticket. After 1/2 hr learning "the ropes" (pun intended) we climbed into the army truck and bumped our way up Skytops ski slopes to the zip line course. Had seven people in our group two children, two twenty-something guys and three middle aged folks (that's us). Cory was our guide. Took us through two courses+ bonus course. Challenging traverse between tree top platforms-- swinging logs, suspended ladders, v-ropes, barrels, suspended skateboards! Fun. Next day my stomach muscles were feelings the effects of the workout. Great way to spend the day. Cory said they operate rain or shine. But do take bug spray! Gloves aren't essential but nice.

Our sons, 13 and 10, have been wanting to try ziplining for a long time so when we were vacationing in the Poconos area and saw an ad for Skytop Lodge Adventure Center we decided to go. We had so much FUN! This is an above ground obstacle/challenge course that includes zip lines. Our guide, Francesca, was fun yet safety minded. We went out with a good group. There was a young couple, a mom with three older children and a mom with her younger son in addition to our family of 4. We were already enjoying ourselves on the practice course so we knew this would be a great family adventure. We completed the two courses that are always included in the trip and since we made good time Francesca took us on the third course. The third course is the shortest but the most challenging. We were out on the courses for about 2 hours and were at the Adventure Center for about 3 hours including waiting for our start time, filling out paperwork, getting harnessed, travel to the start of the course, etc. We did not do the rock climbing or paint ball offered at the Adventure Center. We were REALLY lucky space was available in the next departing group since we just walked in. I could see their reservation sheet for the day was pretty full. In the future I would definitely call ahead to reserve our spots. We thought the $40 per person fee was reasonable for the amount of fun we had, the exercise we got and the memories we made. It is one of the highlights of our Poconos vacation.

I cant speak for the stay at Sky Lodge, we went up there for the adventure center for the day on 7/27/13. Got a living social deal for the ziplining/obstacle course, first time and I have to say it was a lot of fun! Our guide Kevin was great! He really interacted with all the people in our group! I would definitely do it again if there was another living social deal....definitely worth the $16! Although not worth the full price which is $50 pp I believe.

We did visit the Sky Lodge after the ziplining, I have to agree with others, the grounds are beautiful! The lake is breathtaking w/all the trees etc!

My only slightly negative comment is that the adventure center is hard to get a hold of. They dont answer the phone. You always have to leave a msg for them to call you back so that was a pain. The staff was nice and helpful when we got there. Overall, a pretty good experience!

this is my second time at this attraction and i already purchased to go a third time! they say the course is 3hrs long and you actually get the full amount of time. its only $40 and it is well worth it. at times you can get a groupon.com or livingsocial.com deal and it will only be $20!

first you do a practice course so that everybody knows how to use the harness properly. then you go up the mountain in a army type truck and begin! the guide is with you the whole time to help with any problems. you get to go at your own pace. its lots of fun. in between every zipline there are some obstacles you have to go thru that can be a bit challenging but fun.

just remember to wear sneakers and if your going in the summer time have BUG SPRAY!! i was eaten alive. otherwise great time!

the lodge is also nice. we actually missed our time because we were late (GET THERE ON TIME) so we had to wait 2 hrs. but went to the lodge and ate and played with some of the activites they had in the game room :^)

HAve never seen anything like the zipline treetops course. Its an amazing experience in the woods, surrounded by nature, and challenging yourself! Loved it!! Also, Noah was amazing with my 8 year old daughter helping her to rock climb and encouraging her along the way!
