Description: The Gem and Keystone Brewpub's menu features special bounty produced from the rich soil along the Delaware River from our own private Shawnee Island Farm™ (in season). Using local produce, all natural meats, PA farmstead cheeses and sustainable seafood, which match the Shawnee mission of reducing our carbon footprint and encouraging a healthier lifestyle. We use oak wood to fire our grill and offer vegetarian and gluten free menu options. We are a scratch kitchen, so our sauces, dressings and desserts are all made in house. Our restaurant is the official home of ShawneeCraft(R) artisan beers---handcrafted and brewed on the premises for your refreshment; we also have a reputable wine list along with a broad cocktail and martini menu. Conveniently located on the Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort property, our outdoor dining is second to none with its breathtaking view of the Pocono Mountains. Reservations are recommended on the weekends.

I always look forward to a place with craft beer, expecting something interesting, different, and good. They had a number of different types of beer, from light to dark, but were constantly running out of one or another. The honey beer was OK, as was the session porter, but the former was a bit thin and the latter tasted watery. The burger and fries were typical for pub-style food. It was fine but not outstanding. The appetizers (cheddar ale dip and goat cheese fritters) were quite good. Service, however, was lacking. It took forever to get our drinks and the server seemed to forget we were there.

The food here was fresh and their craft beers are great.I ordered a salad which was large with lots of fresh ingredients, and the person I was with had the fish and chips. The fish is battered in their own beer and it was very good. The service was slow, but I think it was just our waitress.

We have a large family with various food preferences, The Gem & keystone Brewpub, met them all. We had 3-18 year olds with us, 4 kids in their later 20's and the two of us. We went 3 times int he week we were there, comfortable and warm, friendly and inviting. The younger kids preferred the downstairs and we ended up on the main floor, Nice place to warm up at after a day out and about.

There is nothing bad about this place. The food, beer and decor go together. The staff and management go above and beyond.

This was a great place to dine after a day of skiiing. The staff was attentive and friendly. The ribs and burgers were great. I didn't sample the beer selection but the other members of my party seemed to enjoy the variety on tap.
