Description: Here at Emma's, we strive to serve only the freshest food made from local ingredients. We take pride in the quality of the food we serve to you. Our beef products come from grass-fed cattle, our pork products are from pasture-raised pigs and nitrate-free, and our poultry and eggs are free-range whenever possible. We buy organic ingredients whenever they are available to us, and many of our local providers are committed to natural, sustainable practices even if they cannot afford the certified organic stamp. We support local ingredients because we hope to serve our community in a sustainable manner. Eating local food also connects us to our community and helps us eat seasonally, the way nature intended. As time passes, we will not only buy locally, we will also obtain more and more of our products from Sunnyside Farm, the farm run by Emma's. This farm, which provides our restaurant with beef, pork, chicken, eggs, produce, and more, is run in a seasonable, sustainable, humane manner. This direct farm-to-restaurant connection provides you with food fresher and more delicious than you can find anywhere else.

“Not the usual dishes”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 23, 2012

Emma's makes the most of local produce and proteins and seasonable foods in its dishes and serves meals that are, for the most part, different from what you would find in other area restaurants. The food is good but, prices have gone up a bit too much for my liking. The place used to have one or two very good value monthly luncheon specials but that seems a thing of the past. I don't feel that the food is necessarily a good value anymore, especially the desserts which can be tiny. The prices, not the food, are the reason I have not returned in recent months.

“Locally Grown, Natural Food”

A nice range of food types for vegetarian and meat-eaters. Their specials are great, and all of the food has a nice, real taste to it.

“Yummy organic food, kid friendly”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 8, 2012

We ate here during a one night stay in Selinsgrove, based on the TA reviews. The food was very good, sourced from 8-10 local farms. Complimentary white, red and blush wine from a local winery. Very friendly service. My only complaint was the temperature in the restaurant was above 80 degrees. The waiter said it was heat from the kitchen which was 100 degrees. So, maybe a better place to eat at in fall, spring or winter, but not during a heat wave in July. Even so, a great find in a tiny town.

I love the new menu with some vegan choices. I have eaten lunch and dinner here lately and will keep coming back. Fast service. Complimentary wine served. Fresh, healthy food.
