This was our family Thanksgiving vacation. When we arrived on 22d Nov, the place looked fully booked - lots of kids and parents on the site. This place is definitely great for kids with its huge water park, etc. For adults it is rather a challenge, which is normal in places that look like Disney. But you always know why you are here - to entertain kids! And eventually they got entertained and even exhausted by the 4th last day. I guess even 2 days could be enough for them... and for parents...

Once again the GWL provided a great weekend of fun for our family (Jan 4,5,6), we have been several times to this one and once to the one in Virginia. There is a new pizza place called Hungry As A Wolf that is reasonably priced and the pizza was good! We always bring a cooler full of drinks and breakfast stuf, lunch at the snack bar is a little pricy but only $1 or $2 dollars more than we would pay at a chain resturaunt. Dinner at the buffet was good as well, I personally think its overpriced. Check in and out was very easy. We will definately be back again.

We spent 2 days there this past week with our 3 year old daughter, and I honestly can't say enough positive things about the Great Wolf Lodge. We completed our check in online prior to leaving our home. The check in line was not very long when we arrived, and were literally in our room 10 minutes after our arrival at the lodge. Our room was ready earlier than the posted check in time, which was a bonus! After getting settled in for a bit, we checked out the facilities! So much to do! The water park was fantastic, and that is where we spent most of our time. I would highly recommend purchasing a Paw Pass if you think that your are going to participate in the other activities offered - it was well worth the money, and provided a significant savings on the activities overall. Most reviewers have commented on the price and quality of the food; we did not find either of these to be an issue. You have to know, going in, that the dining will be buffet style, and not gourmet by any means. That being said, the food was absolutely fine and was offered at what I'd consider an average price for a hotel buffet.

Other reviewers have commented on the amount of noise, but we didn't find it to be an issue. If noise is a problem, I'd recommend requesting a room on the 4th floor, away from the elevators.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, with the exception of one cranky employee in the water park who was yelling at a couple of kids for getting her wet (confused by that!). The water park was super clean and well attended by the lifeguards. The guest rooms were a good size and had surprisingly comfortable beds! Check out was automatically completed at 11 a.m. and the paid invoice for our stay was emailed to us almost immediately. Very efficient!

We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back in the future!

Room Tip: If you are not sound sleepers, or sensitive to noise, I'd request a room away from the elevators...

The biggest attraction and focus of our stay was the water park. The other activities are quite expensive, but it is a very special place and worth the stay. We cut costs by bringing a cooler with our own food and then used the refrigerator and microwave in our room. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We stayed on the 4th floor, so we had vaulted ceilings and no noise from above us. Yes, kids run up and down the halls, but it is a very active place for kids and families. You don't come here for a quiet retreat! To experience the fun and excitement of our grandkids was well worth it.

Room Tip: We were happy to be on the 4th (top) floor and a little down the hall.

My family recently stayed at Great Wolf Lodge. Since it was during the Holiday Season, the Lodge was nicely decorated, and helped to get our family excited about the upcoming holidays!

While the registration line was crowded, it moved fast and the staff was very efficient. Our room was not yet ready, but we were able to complete the check-in process and begin enjoying our time at Great Wolf. The feature of receiving a text on your cell phone when the room is ready is great, as we could begin enjoying our trip without having to check back with anyone on the room availability.

While the resort was at 100% capacity during our stay, it really didn't seem crowded (except at storytime). The wait time for some of the more popular water rides was manageable, and we had other options with no wait at all (lazy river, wave pool, fort, etc.)

The one drawback was the checkout time - as 11:00 seems too early when you have the option to remain at the waterpark for the entire day, especially when you have a check in time of 4:00 pm. Understand that the rooms need to be turned over, but when the waterpark doesn't open until 9:00am, being checked out by 11:00 is a challenge. A tip I would offer is to pack a separate bag with your family's change of clothes, etc. and rent a locker for these items you will need after check out. My family went to the waterpark for 9:00 and then I spent the next hour loading the car, checking the room to make sure we didn't leave anything behind, etc. I was able to reunite with my family around 10:30, and we played at the waterpark until about 2:00, then showered and left for home.

We had purchased a Groupon for this vacation, and I would recommend this if possible, as the extra activities (golf, bowling, arts & crafts, etc.) are at an additional cost, and can quickly add up - especially when you have multiple children.

The rooms were clean, the staff friendly and courteous, and I learned quite a bit from other guests on how to navigate my way through the Lodge and some travel tips to make our next stay more enjoyable. Food was very good. We tried the dinner buffet, and it was excellent - many choice and all were tasty. Parking is a challenge as well, as the lot fills up quickly, and you may have to carry luggage a long distance before you enter the Lodge. Valet Parking is available - at an extra charge.

All in all, it was a very good trip, and we will return again.

We went the weekend after christmas, and the place was packed. But, the hotel is so big that you really didn't feel overcrowded. My Pros are the water park and activities. My Cons are the price of food (for this reason we went to the diner at the end of the drive for bfast and also brought our own sandwhich fixings) and the staff wasn't that friendly. I think for the price the staff should at least be polite. We ate pizza from the hungry like a wolf and it was fine. Honestly, this is a great place for the kids, not perfect but spent a nice weekend here. Will definitely be back, maybe in the summer to experience the outside pool. Bring your own food and drinks and save money!

Room Tip: Choose one of the theme rooms the kids LOVED it! And if you have a choice, try to be close to the e...

We visited this last summer in June. We stayed only one night, but it was amazing! The water park was awesome, clean, huge, and warm. The food was excellent. It's exquisite. I would recommend getting a meal plan which made it less stressful. The room was okay, it was nice, but not fabulous. It had a balcony, but it looked onto the parking lot. So..not great but really not bad. We just got a basic room, but it comfortable slept five people.

Room Tip: If you aren't going to spend much time in your room, I wouldn't pay the extra money for a fa...
