This was our first time with our 10yr old. The hotel was spotless I was impressed with the cleanliness of our room. The kid cabin room was cute but the coffee maker didn't work and the pillows were uncomfortable.
The water park was very disappointing. Their wasn't enough seating it was really stressful trying to put our things down. The bathrooms in the water park were dirty. The water was freezing and they had one guard manning four slides. It took 30 minutes to get on each water slide. The next day the slides kept malfunctioning so you had to wait even longer on line so they could reset them, They also had to close one of the slides.
The other activities( magi quest ,arcade and club craft) in the hotel are not included in the price
and are expensive.
Spend your money else where it's not worth.

the room is just okay, nothing special, ang quite frankly housekeeping was not the greatest.
the waterpark was alot of fun, our teenagers enjoyed it, but beyond that their really wasn't much for the 13 and over age group, families with small children will love it, the really cater to the little ones..overall it was a nice but pricey weekend away. travelors should be warned, the food is very over priced and pretty bland, they nickel and dime guests for ever penny they can get,,,,$3.50 for a bottle of water, $3.99 fot a cup of tea or hot chocolate etc,,,,during the days after the hurricaine the price of the room went from $220 to $309, alot of NJ residents without power booked there..we paid 220 when we booked an hour later the same room was 309..as friends of our called to book...sad that they would raise prices like that

My family and I recently visited the Poconos location from 11/06-11/08. We had a great time and the water park was very impressive. However, our room, and perhaps the resort, in general, needs major maintenance.

There were multiple problems with our room, particularly in the bathroom, where we found loose floor tiles with missing grout. There was a hole in the tub filled with black putty. Both the dining and coffee tables were showing major wear. Also, the room had a standard definition TV. Don't most hotels have HD TVs these days?

In the lobby of the resort, the animated show looked embarrassingly shabby. Perhaps the worse looking character was the raccoon in the tree stump, whose broken fingers were dangling from his hand.

The food was fine. Nothing exciting. But we did need to wait for about 30 mins at the pool snack bar for lunch. I'd recommend going off site for lunch and dinner.

Overall, we'll be back because the water park is fun. There are no other places quite like it on the east coast. Also, the life guards were very attentive and the space seemed very safe. However, for the price point of the rooms, I would expect a bit more quality.

We went for the first time with our 5 and 2 yr old. The kid cabin room was fun and spacious for the kids, but maintenance had to come fix the broken toilet, the fridge was also broken, and housekeeping did a poor cleaning job (did not clean or took out garbage, just made the beds). Everything is extremely pricey and not worth the price. Some of the staff seemed to hate their jobs, specially the lady at the snack shack inside the water park. The only good thing is that kids enjoyed the water park. However, for what they charge, I expected better service. Will definitely not go back. I rather fly to Disney since the cost is comparable, but the service at Disney is much more superior.

I would not say it was the best place that I have ever stayed. Part of the main issue is the crowd management. I think the staff is okay but do not seem to go out of their way. With the exception of the Housekeeping staff. They were very accommodating and nice. A lot of young employees that do not seem to care what the guests are doing. The dining staff at the Loose Moose was bad. Understandable that it is a buffet for dinner and breakfast but occasionally a waiter or waitress should check to see if you need something. Ate there twice and both times the service was terrible. If they cannot handle busy, the managers should look in to it. The water park was nice, probably would have been better on a less crowded day. The Howl at the moon glow golf was nice. $5.00 per person. My daughter and every other child here loved the Magi Quest game. Dropped another 50.00 for the wand and game. The arcade has lots to do for young kids through teens. I think the biggest issue I can say is lack of staff presence and children running around uncontrollably. The hotel it self is nice. Starting to show some wear in the rooms but not dirty. I think it could be even better with a few management tweaks! I Would come again on a less crowded time.

Room Tip: Ask for the third floor so you do not have noise above you
