“Something missing”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 4, 2012

Some things never change. This was our second visit and just like before bread was not served with the meal. You'd think at these prices they could afford bread on the table. And it gets worse. Our calamari appetizer was served concurrent with the salads. And speaking of salads-- the Caesar salad was absent any caesar dressing and the seafood salad was absent any dressing as advertised on the menu. Could they be saving money by not supplying bread and salad dressings? The entrees were OK but the coffee was tepid not hot and I never got the spoon I requested for my coffee. I used the dessert fork to stir my coffee. I don't think this place deserves a third visit.

“Nice view... ODD service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 16, 2012

We didn't stay at the inn but stopped for lunch while walking through town (you can walk through town in about 10 minutes!). We were seated on the back deck which overlooks a huge area of massive rocks with water moving through them. Definitely a place to come back and hike, though smaller kids would have a tough time.
We were a bit surprised by the expense as the inn itself seemed a bit run down. Maybe they're trying to save up for repairs!??! But the sun was shining, we were able to sit under an umbrella so we were comfortable, and then we met our server. She was a pleasant young woman but was either a bit scattered or not too invested in her trade. She didn't quite sell the specials as much as off handedly mention them. She seemed perplexed about taking a drink order and food order at the same time as if this was a new or out of the ordinary occurence.
The food itself was okay, nothing special, but more than adequate. The $11 frozen drink seemed a bit excessive in price all things considered, the portions were a bit small, but if taken in light of the weather and view it was an acceptable lunch stop. We're not sure if we would head back though we may give it a chance to try out a dinner menu.
If you're looking for a very small but quaint luncheon/dinner stop, then this may be the place for you.

“On the way to heaven”

Location , location, location. A unique inn with a view from the terrace that is fantastic and the food matches the view. The marinara sauce is one of the best I've tasted from across the country. What a surprise to find this excellent restaurant/village on the way to Lancaster county.
