“Great Turkey!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2014

It does look like a cheesy diner type when entering but it is a dining car so that makes it more interesting. Price were a bit higher. Had an open face hot turkey and it was so good. The fries are fresh cut too. I wonder if the turkey came from the large turkey farm next door :) The burger my son had was good too. Nice to combine the whole experience of museaum, railroad and this. Just water to drink - bill $18 plus tip.

“Orient express with economy class horrible food”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2014 via mobile

We were there recently end of July 2014. The looks are fun, it's in a long caboose, orient express like. But the food was horrible. Salmon dry, oversalted, salad made of tasteless romaine and even worse, pale slices of tomatoes. Dressing ugh.
Soup, cream of asparagus had just a few pieces of the spears and was heavily thickened brownish broth or something. Not much taste, definitely no asparagus taste.
Daughter had spaghetti. This was probably the worst. I tried it and was shocked. They haven't even used real tomato pulp, this was the instant sauce you buy in supermarkets in paper bag, just mixed with water!!!!!! Disgusting!
And they said at the reception it will be all fresh from Amish garden.
Shame on you!!

“Lunch!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2014

Had took advantage of a living social coupon and eat here. We did eat here about 15 years ago. I had the ham and turkey club w/ fries and cole slaw... yum! The cole slaw was great and the ham had a flavor of its own. The fires were fresh cut potatoes and cooked nicely. My wife had a cheeseburger and was not quite as satisfied. I think the burger may have been pre-cooked. We dined in a rail dinning car that was probably built at the turn of the century - quaint! The wait staff was personable and attentive to our needs. We dined in sight of the Strasburg train and it whistled by several times - neat! We also over looked a farm where they were growing tobacco and of course corn.

“Unpleasant Experience”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2014

Went there last night 7-21-14.. for a family dinner expected a unique experience, well thats what we had to say the least. The food was terrible , cold and presented very poorly. The waitress was very unkept looking rather trashy. The cleanliness was extremely lacking . Pass this pass by .. Unique looking from outside total crap on the inside.ar
