We always go to Dienners when visiting the area and get the buffet, which is very good. Items on the buffet include; chicken, ham, beef in gravy, fried shrimp, and fried cod, stuffing, butter noodles and lots of veggies, the corn is the best! There is a salad bar, but we never bother with it, and choose otherwise to load up on the 'good stuff'. Desserts include home-made pie slices from a local amish bakery, ice cream sundae stand, and other in house cakes, puddings and other yummie desserts. We waited an hour to get a table on a saturday at 5pm yesterday,( they stop taking names at 6p), and although there is a regular menu available it ends at 6pm, and only the buffet is available, although when looking around I never see anyone order from the menu. Dienners is always a treat for us !

This was a nice little buffet. You will wait to get in but it Is worth it. Salad, hot food, and TONS of dessert choices. The waitresses were mostly Mennonite and Amish with others mixed in. You can tell the locals eat there (including a buggy full of Amish folk). It is not a fake tourist trap.

their food is " real " food, was very good, get there early as they close at 6 PM and are closed Sundays, which I think is a good idea

We had the $11.50 Buffet at Dienners and did not feel it represented farm fresh food or anything particularly PA Dutch. Mass produced fried shrimp and cod, baby carrots seemed to be from a can, ham, mac and cheese and plain rotisserie chicken. Dessert pies come from a bakery at Bird In Hand, not made on premises. Yes you can stuff yourself full but nothing with a wow factor. Our server Sarah was excellent but otherwise we thought this place was not that memorable.

So was initially worried that this restaurant only had 3 reviews but I get it now.

Locals don't review it so tourists like me stay away!

We arrived at Dienner's around 7pm on a Friday night. There was a huge crowd outside, probably 20 odd people waiting. So we heading inside and booked a table for 4 and got a buzzer. The place was packed, but we only waited about 15 mins or so.

There are three rows of buffet, one hot food (3 types of meat, mash potato, rice, fried fish and prawns, vege and soup), a salad bar (everything you could ask for) and then desserts! Plus 6 or 7 different types of pie in a cabinet, oh and soft serve ice cream with toppings.

Friday night is more expensive (!) at $11.99 an adult and .85c per year for children (so $9.35 and $5.10 for my 11 and 6 year olds).

Experience wise, we were served by Amish (or Mennonites?) and there were a couple of tables of Amish eating as well. Hubby had a wonderful time waiting as he got chatting to some Amish farmers and so able it pepper them with questions about plowing and sowing and other farmer stuff!

The food was great, tasted great and there was plenty! Would definitely recommend and return. Oh and the service was exceptional!!
