We asked a couple of locals where to eat lunch and they both recommended Dienner's. It's an Pennsylvania Dutch buffet and full service restaurant, just down the street from the more popular Miller's Restaurant. Better priced (so they said, though we didn't compare) with a full soup, salad, entree and dessert buffet, Dienner's staff was friendly, attentive and efficient. No strange dishes, just wholesome farm food - fresh salad fixin's, plus roast beef, fried chicken, baked ham and a dozen or more side dishes for the main course. Lots of parking. About 15 minutes from the Railroad Museum where we spent most of the day.

The atmosphere here is very basic and homey. They have oilcloth tablecloths.

The menu is basically the same each night with the exception of Friday which features fried shrimp. We also had ham loaf on the evening that we went. It was outstanding.

The food is basic PA Dutch and is done to perfection.

If you enjoy desserts, this is the place for you.

The dinner at $10.50 is one of the best bargains around.

During our trip to Lancaster County, PA, it was suggested that we try Dinner's Restaurant for dinner. We arrived about 5:00pm on a Saturday night on April 13, 2013 during rush hour, for which the restaurant was packed and there was a 45-minute wait time. We sat outside as the weather was nice. The buffet price was $11.50/adults and children are 85 cents per year of age. Tax is 6% in Lancaster County. The restaurant was extremely crowded and the tables are very close together. The buffet offered many food selections, which were all delicious. There is a salad bar, hot food bar, and a dessert bar. Everything we had was very tasty. The service was excellent, with our waitress being friendly and efficient. The restaurant closes at 6:00pm but they do try to serve those who have stood in line waiting; therefore, when customers finish their meals, it is time to move on out so they can seat the last guests for their meals. This was a very good experience and we will visit Dienner's Country Restaurant again when we are in the Lancaster County area.

A wonderful assortment of fresh homemade food. Friendly service, relaxed atmosphere. We only had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated. Well worth the short wait.

Very good breakfast buffet. Standard items plus a few extras. Very friendly and prompt service. I would go back again, if in the area.
