This was a great find for our family of four on spring break. The hotel was new, the bed big and comfortable. The location is perfect for all of the major Lancaster sites. This is a great hotel for families.

My recent trip to Lancaster, PA in the midst of Amish Country started out a bit shaky due to the weather. Who expected a snow storm the last week of March? I had made reservations for one night at this new addition to the area but after listening to the projected forecast, quickly made a call to extend my stay to an earlier arrival.

Anytime one stays at a property where you have not had any prior experience it can be either a good experience or a bad one. I am happy to report that this experience with this property was a GREAT one!

I should have known by the way my reservation was extended. The first reservation was done on-line with no problem. This time, I called to extend my reservation and was met with a cheerful voice and within minutes my reservation was updated (without me even furnishing my confirmation number). I was being welcomed and thanked for choosing La Quinta before I even got there!

The La Quinta is very easy to find, just off the main highway going through Lancaster. Convenient to gas, restaurants (Millers is just down the road and highly recommended!) and the glorious outlets (Rockvale Outlet is very very close). It is just far away to enjoy the peace and quiet that Lancaster can offer without hearing the roar of highway traffic.

Entering the facility was easy with a covered entry which is nice when you are unloading in a snow or rain event. Parking is easy with a well-lit area and a nice covered gazebo for those of you who need to smoke around this SMOKE-FREE hotel.

The reception area is lovely with a very open air feel. Beautifully decorated and immaculate.
This area opens directly into a very large area for their continental breakfast that is provided each morning. Again, furnished with a nice amount of tables and chairs. There are various meeting and work rooms (one equipped with computers, printer, etc.). Located on the first floor is a nice size indoor pool and jacuzzi tub which was immaculate and for those inclined to exercise a very nice room equipped with treadmills, bikes and elliptical machines. Vending machines and ice machines on each floor and were maintained very well.

Carpeting looks brand new for a hotel that is just under two years old and is evidently well cared for. Staff very organized and pleasant. This hotel practices green technology and gives you the choice to have bedding changed daily or every third day. Our room was a double Queen with microwave, refrigerator. Room was furnished with a flat screen television, desk w/ chair, sitting chair, enclosed closet with ironing board and iron. Free WIFI was a perk along with in-room coffee pot and free USA Today. Bathroom was emmaculate and well stocked. Large counter area with hairdryer. Plenty of clean fresh SPOT-FREE towels. (Laundry does their job well!) Room had an easy to read and operate thermostat and the heating system worked great. No worries about laying heads down here! Linens were also SPOT-FREE and smelling fresh. Comfortable bed (they are high but the hotel will furnish a step stool for those with children or need help).

For those who travel with their four-legged friends, you will be happy to know that they are most welcome here and were greeted by friendly outgoing staff (two of which were both named Kristen). The pet owners are usually given rooms on the first floor for their convenience to the provided outside area for potty purposes and with an outdoor disposal system for cleanup. (PLEASE BE RESPONSIBLE AND ALWAYS PICK UP AFTER YOUR PET!)
Although I did not travel this time with my pets I know that in the future they will be most welcome here. I was told after each pet visit the rooms are totally deep cleaned to assist those who may be allergic to pet dander. This is an excellent facility for pets because there is sufficient areas to take them on a nice long walk as farm land borders on the one side of the property.

The continental breakfast was great providing sausage gravy on biscuits, make your own Belgium waffles, cereal, hard boiled eggs, various muffins, toast and bagels with various toppings. Mixed fruit, juices and coffee/tea were also provided. Staff was also present to assist guests. Area was kept clean on a continuing basis. Coffee/tea was also available 24 hours. Flat screen television is also there for those who want to catch up on the overnight news.

I have never been to a hotel that was more accommodating and friendly to those coming through, whether you were staying overnight or longer.

I was curious to the name La Quinta and what it meant so I did a little on-line digging....
the word is archaic, meaning not used much anymore. Translated from Spanish it means the fifth. Reading a bit more I found it meant a hacienda or rest stop along the way during a very long journey. Every five days, travelers would take a load off at one of these "la quintas." So, there you go - it's where you stay to recharge on the fifth day of travel.*

I thoroughly recommend this facility and highly suggest you do not wait until your FIFTH DAY of travel to visit while you are in beautiful Lancaster, PA. Do yourself a favor and begin and end your trip at La Quinta!

Everyone was very helpful and friendly. I am handicapped and this hotel is one of the few in the area that can accomodate me with most of the same safety items that I have at home. Thanks to everyone there for their courteous and friendly attitude.

Excellent hotel near the outlet stores in Lancaster. Quiet and clean. Service was great too. The only thing I was not fond of was the bed pillows, but other than that was a nice hotel.
will stay there again.

Never stayed at a Laquinta motel. The room was extremely clean and pleasant. The breakfast was great. The Maxwell house coffee maker was great. Had great coffee. The motel was cleaned and appealing. Pleanty of parking. I would stay there again. For the price it is worth it.
