I admit I wasn't expecting much in a small town on my third day of riding the Great Allegheny Passage, but the ghost train pizza hit the deliciousness spot. Fresh, not frozen, with fresh tomatoes to boot. It's obvious from the photo that this isn't your run-of-the-mill homogeneous pizza. (Btw, there are several stores and several food options in this building, and they have accommodations options too.) Extra points for being obvious supporters of the trail.

If you're staying in Rockwood this is the place for breakfast and dinner. We had pizza one night, which was very fresh. We also ate breakfast here twice and the food was good and gave us a chance to relax before setting back out on the GAP again.

The owner has transformed a big old wooden building into interesting shops and a great restaurant. My sub sandwich was great and the breakfast was just fine. Judy and her employes are very friendly. Free Wifi but no cell service in the town. Some weekends there is a show and dinner in the Opera house.

When traveling by bike or a day trip please take time to stop by The Rockwood Mill Shoppes.
It’s a must see and an interesting experience. You can even have a bite to eat.
For an evening out please make reservations for the Opera House.
The Opera House has great entertainment and a great price.
