The inn is charming. We stayed in the blue room up the back, which is quietest if you are a light sleeper. Others in our party stayed in two other rooms which were also fine. I loved the decor of the place. Maryann was incredibly welcoming to my family and made us all feel right at home. She was also really helpful in giving us directions, advice on where to eat etc. A uniquely good experience.

Room Tip: Blue room at the back is the quietest

We went for a weekend get away and this beautiful inn along with its wonderful staff really made our trip. Everything was cozy and comfortable and Mary Ann is the most wonderful person. The location is also incredible. It is literally a few hundred feet from a large state park and just a few minutes drive from 7-Springs. We went in the fall and the area was just stunning. Can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: All the rooms are beautiful, ours was in the back opposite the road and was very quite. Never heard...

I highly recommend this inn. It is everything you could ask for: comfortable rooms with great beds, quiet, friendly, and really great breakfasts cooked to order. We stayed one night while my husband and a friend did the GAP bike trail, and it was just what we needed at the end of the day. Mary Ann and her family made us feel at home in this lovely, rural setting.

Recently we met up with some friends from Down Under who were visiting family in Somerset and Rockwood, Pennsylvania. We spent one night at the Trenthouse Inn Bed and Breakfast. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by Maryann, the innkeeper. She showed us throughout the inn which was warm and inviting. We loved our room. We ate lunch at the restaurant in the inn - my ruben was scrumptious and my husband ate every crumb of his triple club sandwich and sweet potato fries. For breakfast the next morning we had stuffed pumpkin French toast and my husband a three-berry Belgium waffle. Maryann's daughter runs the restaurant and is just as friendly and attentive as Maryann. We loved our stay at the Trenthouse Inn and plan to go back. We did visit the Flight 93 Memorial and Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater which were close to the inn and should not be missed. We plan to go back.

Room Tip: There are four rooms to choose from - we chose the green room which was lovely - only drawback and w...

We stayed at Trenthouse traveling through on our C & O Canal and GAP bike trip...it was a very nice respite from an unseasonably hot ride that day. Everything about the B & B is comfortable and pleasant. The breakfast was very good and Mary Ann even fixed dinner for us the night before (at a very reasonable price). An added bonus to our stay was that Mary Ann's mother, Violet, was also there to welcome us. She's just 94 but her youth didn't bother us at all.

Room Tip: My impression was that all the rooms are quite comfortable and nicely located...it's a quiet are...

Mary Ann was a superb hostess. The house was very interesting, our room (Red Room) was comfortable, and the patio was a nice surprise. The inn was close enough to Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob, which were our destinations for the trip. Mary Ann also gave us a good steer on dinner at Out of the Fire Cafe (BYOB - stop at Sarnelli's on the way up.) Next time we'll need to set aside more time for Laurel Highlands State Park and Ohiopyle State Park.

We loved this place! The accommodations were lovely and comfortable and Mary Ann became our new best friend instantly. The food was terrific and the hospitality couldn't have been better. The grounds are beautiful too. Such a lovely location.
We stayed with friends. Both rooms were equally wonderful and all of us were so pleased with the experience.
