I love to go here with my family, especially during WWII Weekend. Great for people interested in history and to meet others interested in the same sort of thing.

This is one of the finest WW2 shows on the east coast. Penty of re-enactors, vintage aircraft, WW2 veterans, big band music. If you close your eyes and let your imagination work, you'll be back in 1943. All shows are the first weekend in June. Excellent day out.

I have frequented this Museum since it was located acros the airport in temporary facilities. It is a low key museum with some beautiful, flyable aircraft. The pluses are the unique aircraft and the exhibits that relate to aviation in Reading. The minus is that, since most of the aircraft are flyable and there is only one hangar, the museum space is crowded. The two "must see" aspects of this museum are the "WWII weekend in early June and the restoration activities which will lead to the only flyable P-61 Black Widow in existance. Don't miss museum this when you come to Reading.

While visiting family near Philadelphia, we decided to drive up to Reading to take in the Mid Atlantic Air Museum. It was definitely worth the hour dive up there. I have been to many air exhibits all over the world. This is not Wright Patterson or Pensacola, but it is a worthy exhibit with one particularly interesting airplane. They are restoring a P-61 which, when finished, will be the only flying example in the world. They have a long way to go, and it is interesting to have a look at the work already completed. We had a nice conducted tour with a guide that knew his stuff. As you might imagine, the aircraft on the ramp are in pretty ragged shape, but that is normal. They do have several flyable warbirds including an Avenger and a B-25. All in all it was a good deal. Not sure I would go there again (except maybe to see the P-61 fly), but I would recommend that any aviation enthusiast in the area take a couple hours and have a stop.

I have been trying to get to the WWII weekend but no luck. Went on the tour, learned a lot today. Beautiful day on the tarmac. They hve a decent collection of passenger & military aircraft. Outdoors you can view up close from all angles. The only drawback is there is only one hangar for storage. Therefore all of the inside planes are cramped together preventing a full walkaround of them.
