This Comfort Inn could become a Comfort Suites, but the area probably doesn't support the business for the high tier of Choice Hotels. Pity, it is a very nice hotel, with great staff. Room was excellent, the fitness center was above average for any chain. Most chains put a treadmill and a exercise bike in a empty store room and call it a "fitness center." Not this hotel, they had a yoga mat with stretching instructions printed on it. A weight machine, with tricep dip station. And, of course a treadmill and a bike. LOL. Breakfast is hot with meat and eggs, waffles, etc.. plus all the choices of a "continental" breakfast. Cereal, bagels, toast, and so forth. People who don't travel much, simply swoon over the idea of a "continental" breakfast, I still haven't figured out why?
Folks, "continental" apparently means "poor, third-world, country" where they don't have electric waffle irons, and have a religious objection to eating bacon and sausage. I'm an omnivore, and at the top of the Food Chain... I want eggs and bacon and waffles. I'm not averse to yogurt and cold cereal and dry toast... but it shouldn't be my ONLY option. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
As a Diamond Elite traveler, I've seen my share of poorly run, NEW hotels. This property is a little old, but they keep it up and I never felt uncomfortable that I was sleeping on used sheets or stepping on a dirty floor.
And the price was uncommonly cheap, for a nicer hotel. And a King Suite at that!!
