Went to the QuarryVille Jellystone Campsites this past weekend with my family.. Me, my husband and 3 children. Also went with another family of five. Rented two rustic cabins. Place was very clean. Had awesome cabins on Cindy Court, a little cul-de-sac.. Already booked again for June!

We just got back from a mini vacation at Jellystone Park. It is our second "camping" experience. I put camping in quotation marks because we stayed in a Cozy Cabin with a full bathroom, air conditioning, flat screen tv, mini fridge, and microwave - hardly roughing it.

Overall, the experience was very good. With a few changes, the place could be perfect. It is a wonderful place for kids - no other local camp offers the same outstanding kid activities.

The GOOD:
The waterpark section of the pool is awesome with 2 big waterslides, a smaller waterslide, and numerous interactive squirting activities for the kids. The pool itself was very clean.

The jumping pillow is unbelievable - you get quite a bounce, and my 6 year old daughter was addicted to the pedal cars. The playground and grounds were clean and well maintained.

When we first pulled up to the cabin, I was a little taken aback by the small size, but inside, it was pleasantly spacious, immaculately clean, and the living area was very functional.

The BAD:

No restaurant on site, not even a snack bar! Had I known, I'd have brought charcoil and food supplies. You need to bring charcoil for the grill and your own hotdogs and picnic stuff.

The beds are beyond uncomfortable. I read other reviewers talking about how bad the beds were, but I thought "How bad can they be? - and afterall, you're not staying at the Ritz!" The mattresses are BAD! Other reviewers were NOT being dramatic. My husband and I tossed and turned all night, with sore backs all morning. It's not a real mattress, it's more like the cushions you find on deacon benches, only covered with commercial plastic. Next time, we'll bring inflatible mattresses or I'll buy the egg carton type bed toppers. Why they'd have such a first rate park, then go so cheaply on the mattresses, I have no idea.

The UGLY:

This park is a liability waiting to happen:

No lifeguards at the pool! - only a teenager in the waterpark area sat at the top of the slide and monitored when the kids went down.
No park supervision at the jumping pillow and pedal cars! Up to 25 kids can jump on the pillow, there were groups of teenagers jumping alongside 2 and 3 year olds with no supervision.
Teenagers in large pedal cars raced on the same track with the smaller pedal cars built for 4 year olds! It was incredibly dangerous for the smaller kids, some who are just figuring out how to pedal and brake, to be on the same track as 16 year old boys zooming around turns at top speed in vehicles twice the size of their's. Also dangerous for the bigger kids who were at risk of flipping over when crashing into the barriers when they tried to avoid hitting the younger kids. No one from the park supervised.
Add to this mix the many parents who let their kids swim and play unsupervised while they hang out at their campground, and it's a recipe for disaster.

Overall, this is a great place to stay, and we'll go back again. Next time, we'll bring food, bring our own mattresses, and we'll know to keep a close eye on our child.

We just returned from our stay at Jellystone Camp at Quarryville, PA. Our first time camping. The campsites were nicely carved out . Clean of trash or debris, Running water with electrical outlet and Cable hook up. The cabins were well kept and the beds were in a log style, the interiors were nice. The area around the cabins were clean. The store was wonderful, lots to look at and buy. Your children will love it. The game room was okay per my nine year old. The daily activities were nice to keep him busy, along with the pedal karts and riding his bike, I hardly saw him. There was also a movie every other night.
The negatives would have to be the need for more washing machine and the need for more Up to date bathrooms. The workers were great, The water slide fun park was very nice, the children will love it! All in all a very plesant stay and will consider coming back again.
