“Could have been a great experience”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 30, 2011

The Brick Tavern Inn was beautifully decorated for Christmas, the hostess was very accommodating for a packed house and our bartender and waitress were both very attentive. Everything was perfect except for the quantity of garlic that made mine and my partners main dishes very bitter. I think an entire head was used for a plate where one clove would have been abundant.

“Excellent Food and Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 17, 2011

We went in on Friday night and we were seated immediately. The atmosphere was very warm and cozy. Our waitress (Bernadette) greeted us warmly and came back a few minutes for our drink order. She gave us the chef specials and provided some suggestions. I had the mushroom soup (it was fantastic!) and the salmon for an entree. Everyone at our table had something different and everyone enjoyed their meals thoroughly. Service was fantastic.

“A very average outing”

A trip here with good friends left nothing to remember but the excellent conversation. A nice group of rooms goes begging for better food and service

“Quality needs to go up ...or the prices need to come down”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 9, 2011

The food was not terrible, but not great either. I'd call it "ho-hum" at best.

My wife and I split an appetizer (it was on special) , ordered sandwiches (a Rachel and their "version" of a cheese steak) and had a beer each, then a glass of wine each. The bill was in excess of $60, not including tip. We don't mind paying for quality ...which is why we will now go to one of the multitude of other wonderful places in the area that BLOW the Brick Tavern out of the water ...McCooles for one, Jamison Publik House is another, ...if you don't mind driving a few more miles (depending on where you're coming from) try the Carriage House on 29 or Reigelsville Inn, out the other way. ...Heck, I'd rather go to Red Robin than back to the Brick Tavern. I hope the management hears these cries, "Step up and start cooking ...or bring your prices down!"

“terrible food in a great setting with great service”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 28, 2011

It is sad to say that Brick Travern has unfortunately about the worst food I have recently had in a restaurant. The crab cakes were completely wet and filled with so much creamy sauce and the mashed potatoes were the same. The tilapia was also loaded with som,e weird creamy sauce. he only sides offered for entrees were mashed potatoes and a side vegetable also loaded with sauce.

The food tastes not only bad, but felt so unhealthy.

It is sad to say this because the setting is lovely and the service was very attentive.

This restaurant needs a new chef. Pronto!
