Owner description: The 5,286-acre Nockamixon State Park is in the rolling hills of scenic Bucks County, close enough to Philadelphia or a day trip, but far enough away for a vacation. Tohickon Creek, Three Mile Run, and Haycock Run feed the 1,450-acre Lake Nockamixon, which is a rest stop for migrating waterfowl and a destination for boaters and anglers. Visitors can stay the night in a cabin or enjoy the many activities of the park for the day. Popular activities are picnicking, swimming in the pool, hiking, biking, disc golf, hunting, fishing, and boating. Seasons and Hours: The park is open every day of the year, sunrise to sunset. Day use areas close at dusk. The park office is open specific hours. Fishing and boating is permitted 24 hours a day in designated areas. Some park areas are closed to vehicles in the winter. Contact the park office for facility seasons and hours.

Lake Nockamixon in Bucks County is a beautiful State Park. It is very peaceful to take a hike. They also have boat rentals or a ramp to launch your own boat. Many people bird watch or go fishing there. It is a nice afternoon outing and picnic areas are plentiful. Make sure you pack a lunch because food is not available nearby.

what a beautiful tranquil place and so near my home. lots of opportunities for bikini, hiking, walking, and in the winter cross country skiing. in the summer you can take your own small boat, pr rent a pontoon boat and cruse up and down the lake. good for bird watching too.

What was once beautiful Bucks County farmland is now a lake that offers fishing and boating for people who love Pennsylvania's State Park system. The area surrounding the lake offers hiking trails, picnic areas, and overnight cabins! The park is close enough to many historic areas and entertainment venues that it is a perfect place to plan a family vacation. When you run out of things to do at the Park head for Philadelphia or Allentown ... museums in Doylestown, Sesame Place, and much much more!

This is a beautiful very picturesque part of Bucks county. We had no problem launching our kayak from the boat launch. The birding is good, and the lake is just stellar.
