This place does a great business for serving common diner fare. It gets packed by the elderly and those trying to get the most for the buck even if the quality is so/so. It is convenient, serves decent breakfasts and other inexpensive meals that are prepared in any local diner.

Decent menu selection with decent prices. But it is a hit or miss place. Sometimes the meal is really good, other times not too good at all. Maybe it depends on who's cooking, I don't know.
But overall~~~~~~~it is more often good than bad.

Go here for breakfast with your hangover the day after a long night of drinking :)

For the money, one of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at.

The menu is extensive; you can truly get just about anything you might desire.

I've eaten a few suppers at the Brookside, but, when in Pottstown, I usually eat the Sunday noontime meal. It's a very popular place for the post-church crowd--almost all of whom are septuagenarians or older--and you WILL have to wait for a table. However, I've never had to wait more than ten minutes to be seated.

Service is excellent. The servers--almost all of them women--are extremely energetic and pleasant.

Three of us ate lunch there at noon on October 22, 2006. We had an excellent server named Stacy.

One person had a cup of pizza soup with a turkey sandwich, which came with potato chips; one person had the senior portion (of 3) boneless pork chops (the all-you-can-eat salad bar came with the meal); one person had the all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet. Two in the party drank only water; one in the party drank diet Pepsi. Total bill: $22.00.

It would be hard to find a better value than this one and certainly accounts for the Brookside's popularity.
