My wife & I travelled to Port Allegany for my wife's 50th high school reunion, Port Allegany High class of '61. It was our good fortune to book three nights at the Inn on Maple Street. We stayed in one of the rooms in the second house Jay & Sharen own one block from the main house. Very comfortable, clean, private, & resonably priced. Breakfast was always a treat. Staying at the Inn made the whole trip a delight. We will definitely reserve a room when we return to the area. Be sure to visit the World War II Museum in nearby Eldred, PA. A wonderful hidden treasure worth the short trip & $5.00 admission.

Room Tip: Book in advance.

If you're looking for a cozy spot with tremendous hospitality this is the place...had a chance to visit here during a trip from the Grand Canyon Of Pennyslvania to our favorite winery in Kane, PA. Port Allegany is a great small town with just the right amount of conveniences, and our innkeepers Jay and Sharen made us feel right at home...Highly recommended!!!

During a difficult time for our family, losing a loved one and having to travel home for the funeral, we were having difficulty accomodations that would suit the needs of our sizeable family, we called Jay who graciously took care of our every need. We were given the suite which was very comfortable and just the privacy we needed to get through some difficult days. Having breakfast with Jay and preparing for the day was very comforting. We had some sort of routine which our 2, 3 and 6 yr old needed which taking care of matters we needed to while we were here, Thank you so much for everything. We will definitely be back!!!! A lovely Victorian just off the main street in Port Allegheny. A wonderful stop on the scenic Route 6 drive across the northern mountains of PA. We enjoyed the delightful hospitality of Jay and Sharen - especially the 3 course breakfast. Neither of us could resist the fresh peach coffee cake hot from the oven. Well worth the reasonable price. We were also glad they allow one night stays in this autumn leaf season - not true of most other B&B's in this area. We are looking forward to trying Jay's apple butter made locally. You can pick up this and other local treats in their lobby.

We tried doing a scenic trip avoiding the main highways and ended up in Port Allegheny, PA. It's a small town with a small number of overnight accommodations. We tried the B&B on Maple Street. It is an older building, the new portion built in 1906. It was very cozy and the inn keepers warm and welcoming. The rooms are on the small size and the bathroom in our room squeezed into place. The plumbing was new and the room and bed very comfortable. Breakfast was very good, fresh baked banana bread, fruit, and a quiche plus all of the standard fare.

When traveling the scenic Route 6 from coast to coast the small towns and communities along the way are compared to a string of pearls; no two alike yet all are beautiful. We thank you for staying with us and hope your Route 6 travels yield many more adventures and stories for you.
