We took our entire family to the Inn At Pocono Manor for the weekend and had a wonderful time. Our group consisted of my husband and myself, 3 adult children and their spouses and 8 grandchildren ranging in ages from 6 years to 15 years. The Inn and the grounds are beautiful. Our rooms were clean and very comfortable. I'm not sure who had the best time...the adults or the kids. There was so much for everyone to do. At the Inn the kids enjoyed the game rooms and the big indoor pool and the adults had time to relax in front of the nice fireplaces in the main lobby. The food was delicious. We had a private room for a family dinner and birthday celebration and it was perfect. We were also able to to snowtubing nearby. Everyone who worked there was friendly and accomadating. A special thank you to Greg Corvelle the assistant manager and Alana the event planner for helping to make this such a memorable weekend.

A great place to just leave "it" all behind. Comfortable gentle elegance, nice people with good food and drinks. Plenty to do and plenty not to do.....soo if you simply need a break, and you don't want to break the bank, by all means take a look at the Pocono Manor.

Room Tip: Main Front Lodge is my favorite

Let's begin with the nice stuff.
The resort is nice with lots of things to do.
Restaurant (The Exchange) was good and friendly staffs.
Have gift shop and even a Post Office in the main building!
Saw one fireplace on the lower floor but only two chairs.
Bar was good with live music at peak hours.
Overall, the main building it big enough to roam around yet not too far where your feet gets tired just trying to get to point A to point B.

Here are some of my comments and dislikes.
Let's start from checkin. We check in a bit after 4PM. On website, they said checkin is at 4PM. At this time, they said if we wanted a room in the main buidling, it is not ready and not sure when it will be ready. Something wrong with this picture?!?
We were offered the room right across from the main building and it was ready for us.
Room is a bit run down and how much are LCD/LED TVs these days!?! They are still using tube. I mean, com'on, I am paying like $200 a night.
Got a flying bug in the room which we killed. The next morning, on one of the wall, I found a small of ants hanging around and commuting back on forth. A couple even manage to get in our luggage close to the wall. The good part of this is that it is only ants and not other more disgusting insects.
Only standing shower and no tub.
Huge closets for your stuff(including all ski or ride gear). But why this big!?!
Coulda made a little pantry or kitchen instead and will be very nice room amenity.

Bar was good with Jeffrey(our bartender at the bar) taking care of us.
Good drinks and finger food. Must try the crab dipping!

Restaurant(The Exchange) food and overall was good. Just have to mention why our waitress never came back to check with us(party of 9). Also, my water glass was empty twice and no one came to refill. Had to wave and get attention on someone each time. And this was a late dine, 9PM reservation.

Room Tip: Main building is convinent, but they said rooms are better at the other buildings/cottages.

Thank you for your comments. I would like to address a few of your concerns. First off, it is unacceptable that our Front Desk staff did not go above and beyond to find out when your room in our main building would have been available. During this time of year, our outer lodging should only be used if 100% necessary. When they are used, staff should explain thoroughly that these rooms were not updated as recently as the rooms in our main building. It seems as though they did not inform you of this. I am pleased that you enjoyed your food service, and will surely pass all your comments onto appropriate staff.

The family went to Camelback for a day of snowtubing and needed a place to stay on a saturday night. I am sorry we didnt go for two nights. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly good. The staff was very nice. There are very few nice places to stay in that area. I recommend it for families.

We were looking for a place to get away for a couple of days to celebrate an anniversary. The Poconos are less than 2 hours from our home in central NJ, so good for a quick trip. We let the hotel know that we were celebrating and they gave us a terrific corner room on the top floor. The grounds are beautiful and while there wasn't enough snow for snow mobiling or skiing, we enjoyed the walking trails and the spa where we had massages. The front desk manager, Evan, was extremely helpful, recommending local restaurants and making our anniversary special.
We had a great time and would go back when we're looking for a good place to get away and unwind.

Room Tip: Corner rooms on higher floors have beautiful views.

Thank you for your comments with regard to your recent stay. It is very pleasing to hear that you chose The Inn at Pocono Manor for your anniversary getaway. There have been times during this winter season that the weather has not cooperated very well for our snow seeking guests. Even with that said, there is no lack of activities on our property. I am glad you were able to find alternatives. Congratulations on your anniversary, and we hope you return soon!

We were there for a few days and found it to be a beautiful property. Although this is part of the National Historic Registry and, of course, quite old, we found the place to be beautifully kept, very clean, and all up-to-date, with very comfortable beds. Unfortunately, it was very cold and windy when we were there which stopped us from walking the gorgeous grounds but all was not lost because there's a discount shopping mall nearby which was enough to get us out for a while and then return to this great place. Breakfasts were great and we had dinner one night in the Lamplighter Lounge which had the best burgers. We would definitely return.

We spent a long weekend here, and our stay was great! The rooms were very spacious, and when we asked for adjoining rooms, they honored our request right away. The staff was amazingly friendly, and the breakfast buffet was delicious and had lots of options. This was my second stay, and I will definitely be back many more times!
