“Brings Back Memories”
Reviewed April 23, 2012

It's all about the presentation. When I was a kid, I wanted my parents to take me to a Benihana's all the time to watch the show.
The food was very good and I still saw parents bringing their kids to enjoy the show.
Cold Sake selection was very good and had some good varieties.

“Somewhat disappointing”
Reviewed February 20, 2012

Expected more. Compared to other similar restaurants, it performed poorly. The food was served sequentially rather than together, so it seemed like a series of appetizers rather than a meal. There was no coherence in how it was served either. For example, fried rice and mushrooms were served separately after the meat was finished. Somewhat overpriced for what it offered, but the ambiance and atmosphere was nice.

“major disappointment!”
Reviewed December 30, 2011

Drove 77 miles to take our adult daughter out for birthday dinner. My husband and I ordered the December chef's special and my daughter ordered a different entree. After the soup was served we were supposed to get salads with ginger dressing, but instead chef began preparing dinners. We had to flag our waiter down to ask for our salads and were then told that they "ran out of lettuce" but he could give us raw carrots with ginger dressing. Also had to beg for refills on beverages and remind server multiple times to bring these. Server never brought carrots, so we had to ask again and he then said they "ran out of carrots" so he could substitute cabbage instead. Server eventually brought cabbage, but this was a poor substitute and server should have told us in advance that salads were not available...not waited until we asked why we didn't get salads. Some members of our party ordered fried rice prepared at table but those who wanted plain rice had to ask server to please serve rice as it was not brought out when it should have been. Again had to beg for drink refills. Finally, dinners were advertised to come with cinnamon gelato- - -you guessed it- - - they "ran out of that" too!! No substitutions were offered till we actually asked for one and were then told that we could have vanilla ice cream. Ice cream arrived but one again we were told they "ran out" of spoons!! We had to eat our ice cream with forks!! As we were finishing our ice cream, I heard the same server offering dessert to the table behind us, giving them their choice of vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry, or green tea ice cream!! I don't need to travel that distance to receive such poor service. I hope this is not the case in other Benihana locations. Also, they did not do the advertised "birthday photo" which is prominent on their Website. We have eaten here two other times in the past year and have had better service, but if this is their new 'normal' they won't be in business very long. We won't be back! Let the diner beware!

“Food and Service are Suck and BORING”
Reviewed June 22, 2010

There are a few reasons why I rated it sucks:

First, They hire Mexicans to cook (nothing against Mexicans), they barely speaks English and therefore made the dinner so boring.

Second, everything was overcooked. I ordered the scallop and calmari and my wife ordered Steak. The scallop was way overcooked and the calamari was like eating rubber. My wife's fillet migon was dried and overcooked. Very disappointed.

Third, service was bad. We complained, the waitress didn't say sorry initially, until I complained, and the other customers in the table charm in, and then she apologizes. Once again, very very disappointed.
