“Better in the Strip District.”
Reviewed December 1, 2013

Second time eating out at a Primanti Brothers and sadly, this location disappoints. Very slow service for both taking orders, waiting for food and asking for anything, also full of kids parties. Food itself is fine and tastes great, but the service side really lets it down, far better back at their Strip District location.

“crappy bar food”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

chopped salad was wilted bagged lettuce with one tiny cube of chicken 2 croutons and maybe 3 pieces of shredded cheese for an overpriced amount. The sandwiches that they are famous for were a novelty from the past-have had much better reproductions at family owned restaurants since.

“Wasn't what I remembered from college days...”
Reviewed October 1, 2013

If you want the whole legendary experience, go to the original Primanti Brothers in the Strip District. Go at 2 - 3 am, after you've had a lot of drinks and can't appreciate the taste of good food, just want to eat something disgusting.

I had a Pittsburger at this location and it certainly wasn't what I remembered. The burger was small in comparison to the rest of the sandwich, cooked to death and beyond. Nothing juicy or flavorful on the sandwich; fries were bland, coleslaw blah and thick slices of bread just served to hold all this together.

Beer was cold and service was good.

“a must have in Pittsburgh”
Reviewed August 26, 2012

We had to stop for lunch because we heard you can't go to Pittsburgh and not eat at Primanti Brothers. I had a sandwich and my son had the pizza. It was all very good and plentiful. They had a great selection of food and drinks. I would definitely go back next time I am in Pittsburgh. Prices are good too.

“Sandwich lives up to its reputation.”
Reviewed August 13, 2012 via mobile

Stopped for lunch.. Was grated right away and asked what I wanted to drink. This pramanti is a sports bar at heart, but if you don't go into the bar area the sound level is acceptable. The food, especially the noted sandwiches are what I came for. The sandwich did not disappoint. It was all as see on tv and probably more. I will come back again the next time I'm in town.
