My husband and I had a wonderful St. Patrick's Day weekend at the Omni William Penn Hotel. We had a 3 night stay in their superior king room. The moment we walked in the door the staff was friendly and attentive. The woman at the front desk (sorry I could not remember her name to give her the recognition she deserves) was helpful and personable. She noticed my maiden name had not changed yet on my credit card. We were recently married in January. Although this was not our honeymoon, they went the extra mile and surprised us with a complimentary bottle of champagne when we got to our room. A really nice touch. We enjoyed several of the restaurants the hotel offered. We dined at the tap room the first night. Service was friendly and food was delicious. During our stay we also enjoyed dinner in the Terrace room and drinks at the speakeasy. The speakeasy was a highlight for us. The bar staff was great and we got to try cocktails we never would have considered. Fun atmosphere! The only negative would be no overhead lighting in the room and the bathrooms were very small!! However, we understood this is a very old hotel, so perhaps the design was just not able to accommodate anything bigger. Otherwise, clean and classy. Our next visit to Pittsburgh will include another stay at this great hotel!More
