“Not Worth Your $$$”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2013

I went for my birthday earlier this month as I had never been to the Melting Pot and really wanted to try it since everyone else seemed to love it. However, I was really disappointed at the cheese (cheap shredded cheese you can buy at the grocery store in a bag) and the soup base that was made (out of bouillon!). The dessert was delicious and the service was great, but the price was not worth it AT ALL! I will never go back again. Our waitress did bring us two glasses of champagne, which was super sweet.

“Great for a date”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 11, 2012

I went to the Melting Pot for a date night. They put us in a small, candle lit private room which was very intimate and relaxing (very pretty). We had the four course dinner, which was very nice. It is a great idea to have you cook your own food (ie the meat and vegetables)... but after four courses, it got to be too much. I did enjoy the experience, but I thought it was super overpriced for having to do everything yourself.. and having received a small cup with 3 pieces of raw broccoli 3 carrots and 3 cauliflower. However, the best part of the meal was the dessert. I had the smores fondue with cheesecake and rice crispy treats. It was delicious! I would not recommend eating your entire dinner here, I would recommend going for either dessert or drinks/ an appetizer (not all that filling). Overall, it is well worth going to for the intimacy, experience, and uniqueness.

“Must try at least once !”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 4, 2012

So we went here with another couple to celebrate our anniversary. It was definitely a different type of restaurant. I think I enjoyed dessert the most. You get to choose from some delicious chocolate fondues and you get a ton of different things to dip in it. My boyfriend and the other guy we went with labeled this as a chick restaurant. They could not believe how much money we paid to cook our own food. You must try it as least once for the experience but it is pricey.

“not what you expect”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2012

Ok ill admit when i first heard that this is a fondue restaurnt, i though ive eaten fondue before and dont see how it can fill you up.But it will suprise that it does fill you. The prices are steep, but i think for you get and you get it its expected. You can choose just entrees or just dessert, but i think the best bang comes from the 4 course dinner its feeds 2 ppl. This incluse appetizers, salads, entrees and dessert. The fondue is made in your table in front of you wich is a unique trait on its own for the tablt to heat up in order to make the fondue. Also the food that given is not what you can get at your average place. Each course has an array of choises on a platter that you put in in cheese marinaide or chocolate. Choises include but arent limited to severl breads, vegetables, fruits, chiken, lobster, shrimp, beef, pork, cakes and cookies. Te attmosphere and lighting are very cozy and romantic- not recomended as a family thing, better for 1-3 couples as a night or or for spacial occasion.
