The first thing you notice at Altius is the stunning view -- you can actually see the clarity of the Allegheny and the muddiness of the Monongahela as they flow west side by side as the Ohio -- as well as the point, the city, and points beyond. Time your arrival so sunset occurs simultaneously with dessert and you won't be able to stop looking out the window. Oh yeah, then there's the food. We started with crab toast appetizer, then got down to business with one of those incredible pork chops and a steak. All wonderful. Yousef our waiter was one of the best we have ever had -- personable, attentive, knew every item on the menu and provided spot-on recommendations. Finally, the price -- bottle of wine, appetizer, entrees, and dessert with a generous tip cost a little over 200, which I thought was very reasonable considering the overall experience. I am not a huge fan of very many things Pittsburgh (NFL reasons) but Altius is one of the best restaurants we have ever visited.
