Have eaten here at least 3 times and am looking forward to the next time I want to splurge on the beautiful drinks, food, and view. On the most recent visit the wonderful bartender reached around the crowded bar to hand us a drink menu & then came back around to take our order for my strawberry Stoli drink & hubby's Altius specialty gin & tonic. All the food is delicious and the staff is friendly and professional. Makes the Mt. Washington view even more spectacular.

They give you complimentary amuse bush and popcorn before your meal which was amazing. The food was amazing but not as amazing as the view.

Hubby and I had an amazing meal and experience at Altius. Despite being 7 months pregnant, we had a great time over mocktails/cocktails at the beautiful bar. Dinner was also excellent. I had perfectly cooked salmon, salad and shared the carrot cake. Altius is pricey but the experience and excellent service makes it worth it. Don't pass up the popcorn, either!

We were on a three-day vacation in Pittsburgh, rode the Duquesne Incline, then went to Altius. What a delicious meal! My boyfriend ordered the special - a ribeye steak - and I had a pork chop which was "life changing", as the server indicated. Beautiful view of the three rivers. Wonderful service. We would go again.

I will return to this restaurant every time I visit Pittsburgh in the future. The location is brilliant with the incline car ending right beside their doors; making for the perfect start and finish to what will be an immaculate dining experience with views of the city that are immeasurable. I need not detail all the food we ate, it was all fantastic with amazing service all around. This restaurant deserves all the #1 rankings and awards they receive. Do yourself a favour and make a reservation; it will be memorable!
