My husband and I went here for his birthday late on a Friday night and sat at the bar. We had a good time, but not because of our food and drinks, or the service. Their cocktails are expensive, which would be fine if they had plenty of booze to them, but they do not. Meh at best. We ordered the brussels sprout appetizer which was overly salty, and then waited forever for our dinners to arrive. He had the lamb, which he had to saw through with his knife - never a good sign - and I ordered the scallops appetizer. I was excited by the description of the tasso ham and peas it was served with. It turned out to be similar in taste to pork and beans . . . which was bizarre, and the scallops, again - meh.
Dessert was disappointing as well. Why do fine restaurants continuously serve some mediocre chocolate lava cake? Chocolate lovers are not impressed when it tastes like you ordered it from Cisco, or Starbucks . . .
We have eaten some amazing meals in some great restaurants - this was not one of those, and though the atmosphere was lovely, we will most likely never go back. Too much money for what was, at best, an average quality meal. Disappointing.
