Hadn't been to Redbeards in years since I rarely frequent Mount Washington, but went there with a friend and I will definitely be returning soon. Got seated right away on a Friday night, waitress was very nice, friendly and efficient. Had a Sam Adams seasonal special for $3.50, and we got wings for an appetizer which were very tasty and meaty. For my entree I tried the Rachel sandwich, basically a Reuben but with coleslaw instead of sauerkraut. It was absolutely one of the best sandwiches i've ever had. I highly recommended it to my friend who likes those kind of sandwiches, and we swore to return sooner rather than later. The restaurant is located on Shiloh Street, which can be a bit of a pain to navigate if you haven't been there before. Other than that minor issue, Redbeards is a great spot for a quality meal, also for watching a game if that's your goal. Highly recommended.

Wow! We found a nice neighborhood bar that even had a few healthy choices on the menu. We had lunch here after riding the Mon Incline and enjoyed a leisurely meal in a clean place with a Steelers' hometown atmosphere. Food was very good and prices were reasonable.

Heard this place had good food and atmosphere. Food was very good and reasonably priced. However, the service was shabby despite not very crowded!

Road the incline up to top of Mt Washington then walked to Redbeards for lunch. Neat little town at top of mountain. Redbeards is a family friendly sports theme restaurant. Nice bar with good selections. Lots of TV's to catch whatever game is going on! Menu had great variety! Everything that Pittsburgh's know for is on the menu. Started off with some awesome pierogies filled with potatoes and cheddar and topped with sautéed red onions. Pierogies are a Pittsburgh must! We also had the capicola hoagie, the Italian hoagie, the gyro with fries, open faced turkey melt and tuna sandwich. Everything was great except the turkey melt which would have been better with homemade gravy. Gyro was awesome!! Gyro meat was seasoned perfectly and supper tender cucumber dressing was perfect! Good bargain. Worth the trip up!
