A beautiful city park with a lot to do near Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh. Very happy to see the city has cleaned up the area around the The Westinghouse Memorial, a very fitting tribute to the great inventor George Westinghouse who spend most of his life in the Pittsburgh area.

There is a visitor center at Schenley Park, but the last two times I was there the visitor center was closed to tourists.

Don't miss this beau and large park. Peaceful and offers biking picnicking and jogging while over looking the city.

This park surrounds the Phipps Conservatory and the Carnegie Public Library and seemed to be a popular spot with people of all ages. We saw many students playing frisbee, doing acrobatics, and just enjoying talking with each other. You can walk down to a number of shops, as well. As a visitor to Phipps, you'll have free parking, so am not sure about parking facilities outside that area.

My 1st visit to this park - close to University of Pitt and Cathedral of Learning. Cool restaurants affordable and a carousel (which we rode). You have to get tokens somewhere, but the lady let us ride for free. Big tent setup with tables where people hang out. There was a guy teaching a Get Fit Dance class which we joined in. A group of local teens stopped in and did some cool break-dancing, robot, Michael Jackson moves. Great place to get a pulse on the city.

Our son lives next door in Squirrel Hill section of town so we drove through the park and enjoyed the scenery. We did not take a formal tour.
