Description: Terrace Room offers a setting unlike any other. From the moment you step foot inside, you are captivated by the beauty of this incredible restaurant, with its original molded plaster ceiling, sweeping mahogany arches and the striking back wall mural titled “The Taking of Fort Pitt.” The original name of the restaurant when the hotel opened on March 9, 1916, was “The Italian Terrace.” Historic photographs of the room adorn the walls upon entry for your enjoyment. What is truly special about the Terrace Room however, is not limited to the ambiance or beauty of the room, but the culinary delights that are served within. Our culinary team takes fresh, natural, local ingredients and fuses them into many creative dishes that inspire the palate and envelope the senses in an unmatched dining experience. Our exciting offerings for Sunday Brunch are inviting as well as tasteful. The Terrace Room is located off of the elegant main lobby of Omni William Penn Hotel.

They even passed our Creme Brulee test of hot on the top, and cold inside!! Excellent wine selection for the right prices. Waiter really knew the menu and how to give us "just the right amount of time" to relax, yet not have to wait to order. He even found the right answers to our question about the ports being offered. When we complimented the waiter on our great dining experience, he sent the manager over to get details. She was fabulous, and really wanted to know what was done well. Nothing was not done well. We promoted several apps we use to find restaurants (including Trip Advisor) and she said she'd learn more about them. Plus reservations can be made through Open Table.

My husband and I like to sleep in on the weekends and thought we had found a great place to go for a late breakfast/brunch when we stay downtown for the weekend. We were very disappointed this morning to find they had changed their menu/brunch selections this visit. Had difficulty finding something we were interested in eating. Our server checked and said the kitchen would still make pancakes and waffles for us even though they we not on the menu. We have always had wonderful service here, but not sure we'll be able to live with the new brunch selections.
