“Atmosphere makes it worth it”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

Located in a converted church, the restaurant/bar has a fun atmosphere. To our surprise, it was the food that was very good (we had pizza). The beer was fine, but nothing that great.

“Decent beer and food”
Reviewed August 19, 2013

We visited here after a Pirates game we attended. The location is great -- easy to get to from PNC Park. I'd been here years ago, it was my boyfriends first time. The atmosphere is beautiful. The inside of restaurant is as gorgeous as I remember it. I love how they preserved the arches and altar. They did a great job. The beer is decent. It's not the best local brews we've had but they do a good job. Same with the food -- it's decent. I've definitely had much better, but it's still pretty good. It's worth it to check this place out just to see the inside. We all did a flight of all the beers and it was a lot. But, worth it. We got to taste everything they had on tap and compare. Definitely stop here on your next visit to the burgh.

“Unique beer, great food, harried waitstaff”
Reviewed August 17, 2013

We were a group of 8, who ordered everything from hand tossed pizza to a wonderful salmon dish. We were not disappointed. The beer was special, too. We went as a group for the unique, award winning craft beers and found a full restaurant on a Thursday evening, good food. Unfortunately, the staff did not add positive energy to the experience. Neither the hostess nor our server were friendly. When I wondered how I could access a cab to someone serving me behind the bar I was sent off to find a hostess who was no longer on the floor. I would recommend the restaurant and brewery.

“Eat and drink in a church”
Reviewed August 14, 2013 via mobile

The church which it was at one time is very cool. Stained glass and a elaborate interior make for a unique experience. Church brews their own beer with 8 on tap at a time. Styles range with the ability to find a style you like. This is not typical bar food this a big cut above with word fired pizzas. Price online with micro beer prices and food is reasonable. Sit facing alter which contains the brewing setup or outside in a very nice patio. Worth visiting multiple times to try something new.

“Excellent choice for something unique”
Reviewed August 13, 2013

This is just as described. A converted church. The atmosphere was great & family friendly. The food was all delicious. If you're not in the mood for the more upscale food, ask for a bar menu. We all ordered from that & the pizza was amazing. Pierogies were a great appetizer too.
