Quick service, enjoyed the menu selection. Watch out if you are there during NHL playoffs.

I wanted to like the Steelhead Bar and Grill, but was hugely disappointed.

The atmosphere energy was great due to many guests/visitors in the area for two sporting events. However, the number of sports attired patrons caused both bar areas to be overcrowded with limited areas to wait or sit while waiting for a drink or to be seated for dinner.

The greeter took our phone number for us to be seated, but never called us. We were seated less than 10 feet away from the entrance. Only after recognizing other patrons arriving after us were seated we approached the greeter and she replied "we called you and you did not reply". Oh well.

We considered a full menu dinner and drinks but after seeing the choices were limited, we decided upon the buffet because it was less expensive and we thought the service would be quicker. The server was quick to pour water, but disappeared for 10 minutes after asking her for a wine list. (Isn't this bar supposed to be a Wine Bar???). After delivering the Wine list, she disappeared for another 8 minutes only to see what we wanted to order from the menu.
28 minutes after being seated we finally had our first drink.
The buffet cost was $18.00 each and that bought you 2 types of lettuce based salad, potato salad with stringy tough beef in it, bean salad sitting in an opaque liquid, 2 types of dried out pasta based dishes and mussels. The buffet was not stocked during our visit as there were plenty empty mussel shells and that's it. So $18.00 bought us salad and dried rigatoni and no dessert items.

45 minutes into our dinner we need to seek out our server for another drink. We understand when you come into an establishment just before an event, the staff is extra busy, but we were not dressed in sporting attire and one would think that the server could recognize this and maybe give us more than 2 quick visits to the table. The bill was $68.28 for 2 buffet dinners, 2 draft beers along with 2 glasses of wine.

The location was convenient and that is it's only pro.
Cons were many.

This place has so much potential.

There was a limited dinner menu the evening of the concert at Consol. I had salmon and asparagus. It was very good.

Made ressies for 4 adults for 6:30 - mistake was made and they had us down for 6 - at 6:25 we arrived and to our surprise they have saved our table. GREAT!! because otherwise we would not have gotten to eat before the show at 7:30. Place was busy but, appetizer bar was filled regularly.
Beware of looking online for regular menus - if you go here on an event night - they have a special event menu and it is priced accordingly!!
This was probably one of the most expensive meals we have ever eaten. Was it the best - no - average - but, everywhere jams on you on these event nights - i mean we paid almost $20 to park!
Our meal w/ 3 beers came to $80. We both got fish - husband bacon wrapped salmon and i got cod. Not big portions - but, each meal comes with the appetizer bar and we really filled up on that. Had mussels, clams, pasta, salads, soup - all very tasty.
Service was fine - but, she knew we were going to concert so check should have been given to us more promplty.

I should have checked TripAdvisor first because another reviewer pointed out that the pre-event menu is limited and does not include what is posted on the website! Food was tasty, but not worth the money shelled out for it. Service was slow. Since they are right across the street from Consol Energy Center, they should realize they will be packed on event nights and increase the staff!
