Tired and hungry, so we stopped as we drove by here. The 20 minutes wait turned into 32 minutes. The place is extremely noisy...but we were ready to eat.

Hubby got the Rueben sandwich and I got the "special" Teriyaki Chicken w/brown rice. Husband's Rueben was very good and he really enjoyed the beer. However, my special was not very good at all. It came with 3 pieces of chicken breast which where tough, dry, and flavorless. I love teriyaki, but this had no flavor at all. And the brown rice was too moist and 'gooey' and not very flavorful.

So, the pizza and sandwiches everyone had looked very good, but steer away from the "specials"....based on this experience. I was very disappointed.

Bado's is both a family place for Pizza and lots of other Italian fare and a good place to hang out with friends for a wide selection of draft and bottle beers, and food to go with them. Live entertainment provided at various times adds to the pleasure. Located in Mt. Lebanon, PA in the South Hills, it is a convenient spot. The atmosphere is neighborhood bar, lots of booths and outdoor dining on the second floor deck. The wait staff is fast, friendly and knowledgeable.

Hoagies have really good bread...one of the better hoagies in the area. Ordered wings which were very good, but not as good as Burgh's in Bridgeville.

Classic bar atmosphere...decent service. Heard pizza was good, so we'll try that next.

I would write about my food at Bado's but we never even made it that far. We were seated and then ignored by wait staff for 15 minutes. they were not busy as it was an early Sunday afternoon. tables were dirty as well but there was not waitress to tell.

Not much else around here so we figured we would give it a try. Calzone was very good as was the sub sandwhiches. Pizza was pretty good but light on the meat topping. Service was not good. Three of us ordered the Philly cheesesteak pizza special and got a a pepper steak pizza instead. When our waitress brought our calamari (which was very good) she stuck it and the plates and napkins on the corner of the table and walked away, then when she brought our dinner she hadn't yet taken way the appetizer remains and had nowhere to put the food. She just stood there and we had to clear the table for her.
