“Great Setting For Lunch”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

We have lunch at the café at least a couple of times a year. It is an absolutely great setting for an excellent gourmet lunch. We can’t say enough about it. The food, service and setting are outstanding. You can’t visit the east end of Pittsburgh and not find time for this jewel. One catch is that only Frick Art & Historical members can make reservations in advance of the actual lunch date. There are same day reservations available for the general public and walkups are taken as seating is available.

“great tea time experience”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

Cute cafe, with great outdoor seating on the beautiful grounds of the Frick property. Tea with tea sandwiches, scones, and desert all served on a proper tower was a delight. Great place for a shower, girls day out, or romatic for two! Also served lunch and wine, beer, and champagne.

“Fourth visit as memorable as first”
Reviewed May 26, 2013

This is a special place for lunch or tea. We try to come every time we visit Pittsburgh--it's that good! The atmosphere and setting are lovely whether dining indoors or out. The food is fresh, innovative, delicious, and delightful. The prix fix options are a wonderful value and suited everyone in our party--86-year old grandparents, our young people, and us parents. Soups, sandwiches, and desserts always interesting. Ginger ice cream, best grilled cheese ever, chicken salad and more. Reservations are accepted only if you are a member at the Frick. Even though we are out of towners, this is such a special place, we joined because we visit every time we are in Pgh visiting our college students.

“Wonderful Experience”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

I would rate the lunch we had at the Cafe Frick among the finest restaurant meals we ever had. And the environment was so inviting even though spring has not quite set in yet. The setting is a converted carriage house on Frick estate which houses an art museum, an antique automobile collection, a gift shop, a greenhouse, and a historical Frick family mansion open for guided tours.

“Incredibly good cafe for a museum”
Reviewed May 4, 2013

The food in the cafe is innovative, creative, and perfectly prepared. We've been to museums in the U.S., Canada, and Europe, and we've eaten in many of them. This cafe was the best. Reservations strongly recommended.
