Whether you're local or visiting, if you like Vietnamese food, you MUST go to Tram's Kitchen. We've been going for about 15 years and are usually there about once a month, at least. The Pho soup is like my mom used to make -- keep in mind that the beef Pho is traditional northern cuisine, i.e. Hanoi, and the chicken Pho is southern, i.e. Saigon/Ho Chi Minh City. Both are great, I grew up with the beef Pho soup so it reminds me of being in my mom's kitchen, however, I get chicken Pho half the time since that's really good also!
The other star of the menu, that's a must-try is the fresh spring rolls, made with pork and shrimp -- but can be modified for vegetarians, i.e. shimp and/or tofu. It is absolutely the BEST fresh spring rolls in the world!
Otherwise, everything else on the menu is traditional Vietnamese food and very well made, can't go wrong whether it's fried rice, mixed grill/vermicelli, etc. This is a family owned business, the place is small and the decor is modest but it's like being in a home of a Vietnamese aunt/uncle who cooks amazing food : - )
