The wait staff is always very attentive. The food is fabulous although the menu doesn't change from year to year. Always take their limo to the cultural district.

The Carlton is a classy restaurant that has a great wine and beer selection. Many restaurants don't have a variety of beers and such as microbrews and IPAs, but they have some good choices. The food was well prepared and the evening enjoyable. My only complaint was they seemed to be short staffed that evening and our waiter was rushing around constantly (and I think we were there after the big rush). He did a good job given the circumstances but could not give a lot of attention because he was being pulled in all directions. Overall, a nice evening.

My company has a location in Pittsburgh. I am not from Pittsburg. We had a client in town and the locals suggested The Carlton as one of the best places in town to eat. Service was good. Atmosphere was nice. Food was average. Not bad. Just average for a place that is seen as a great place to eat in Pittsburg. The wine list saved the evening. When comparing to other client type restaurants I have been around the country and in Pittsburg, this one just does not measure up. The food was bland over all and forgettable.
