Right down the street from Pitt University, this is a 50s style diner serving Italian dishes. This is a great little place staffed by the local college students in a highly occupied area of town. Many restaurants and activities around this area to do. Paid parking is going to happen here, so you might as well figure that in to your visit. The restaurant includes photos of many visitors all signed. Framed around the idea of Joe, who is serving his Mama's best Italian cooking. We were pleased with the meals here. Waitress recommended pizza and spaghetti and meatballs, but we went with more "grown up" meals. Salad included with out meals and was very good with their house Italian. Everything was cooked perfectly and came out hot and quick. Service was friendly, and responsive. This is not a light meal, so be prepared for a afternoon walk at the nearby Phipps Conservatory to use some of the carbs up you just ate. Would recommend a good meal for anyone of any age here.
