A newer location in the heart of Bloomfield -- the heart of little Italy....Arrived at 12noon for lunch, 2 of us. The place was empty, we were seated quickly. We ordered iced tea - they were out...We placed our order from the lunch menu -- I ordered mango chicken, he ordered rock shrimp. Both came with salad. The salads were premade - as in made a long time ago - the lettuce was aged and wilting, but the ginger dressing was good. It took a while for our order to arrive - considering we were the only ones in the place I thought this was odd...Lunch was served in a compartmentalized type tray -- it was nicely presented. You got two fried things (sorry dont remember the name), 3 california rolls, a heaping of white rice and your entree - all broken out. My mango chicken was good, i must say. Fresh, sweet with just a hint of spiceyness to it. The rock shrimp was 80% breading...We were peelin off the breading to get to the small shrimp contained with in. This was a bit disappointing. Would not recommend. The other items were good. The decor of the restaurant is nice, it was clean. Service was slow, and I think it was over priced. There is a much better place on the opposite side of the street - servings are ample, prices are good, and the quality is consistant. I would not rave about this place. Frankly I thought it was a hibatchi type grill establishment - which it is not.
