“Worth The Wait; Probably The Best Breakfast I've Had”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 24, 2013

Pamela's is a delicious diner, in a quiet neighborhood of Pittsburgh. When I heard of Pamela's, I knew that I had to go!

It was about a half hour's wait. But it was definitely worth it. I loved the strawberry hotcakes and french toast crepes. Come hungry! It's delicious!

“Long wait - Average food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2013

We weren't overly impressed with Pamela's. We waited 40 minutes and the food wasn't all that great. I guess it's more part of the Pittsburgh experience rather than great food.

“Strawberry Hotcakes - Amazing!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 15, 2013

We absolutely love Pamela's for breakfast. It's definitely a greasy spoon, but the hotcakes are excellent! My husband and I usually get 2 eggs with home fries and toast, then we split an order of the strawberry hotcakes (it's like our dessert). Their hotcakes are very thin like crapes; they roll them up and put fresh (not the jelly) strawberries, brown sugar and sour cream inside, topped off with a dollop of whipped cream. It's like heaven!! Be prepared to wait for a table; it's a very popular weekend breakfast spot.

“Funky Spot”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 10, 2013

Spent the weekend in Pittsburgh and was told one exceptional spot for breakfast in in the city is one of the locations of Pamela's. Also, that the Walnut Street location had atmosphere. Well, it was unique, the food was delicious but there was a 45-60 minute wait on a Sunday morning. Well worth it, though!! We enjoyed the "morning after" breakfast and the California French toast topped with fresh strawberries. The side of lyonnaise potaotes was yummy....as many reviews we read had stated. Close quarters as you eat -- but people are friendly and it's not a place you are going to sit for hours drinking coffee and reading the Sunday paper....it's not that kind of place. Seems to be popular with college kids, young families and "oldsters"....that's what happens when there's good food!!
