We ordered pizza, a salad, baked ziti & spaghetti with meatball (one large meatball). I thought prices were a bit excessive:10 dollars for the Antipasto salad, which is basically a side salad with a bit of sliced cheese. The pizza was good & a large portion for lunch; the ziti & spaghetti were what you'd expect. It's kind of hard to mess up that simple (and cheap) a dish.
On the day we visited, there was a horrible smell in the lobby. My daughter described it as "diaper." I'd say it was sewer. It got better by the time we made it through the maze to our table, but, still, it smelled there like it was being covered up by potpourri. The bathroom itself didn't smell bad (although it didn't give off the most sanitary feeling), but the lobby was certainly remarkable. My first reaction was to walk out, but we heard such nice things & we wanted to try the food. We were going to sit outside, but there was jack-hammering near the patio. It's an old building, and that probably has something to do with it. Lesson learned there, I guess.
The service was pleasant and attentive - no problems at all.
