Last time we were there (April 2014), we waited an extra half hour to have the corner window seat. WELL WORTH IT. The view was amazing and the food was incredible. Great restaurant for an anniversary meal.

I consider myself somewhat of a crab cake snob. It's difficult to find really good crab cakes outside the Chesapeake Bay Area. Monterey Bay, however, is the exception to the rule. Big chunks of lump crab meat that lack enough filler to hold them together - then broiled to perfection. Had the white chocolate mousse for dessert, which was not as remarkable as the crab cakes, but wasn't bad either. All-in-all a very nice experience.

It is unfortunately rare to experience excellent food, excellent service, and a jaw dropping view from one venue This was a fantastic experience. Arrived early on a Thursday, and were immediately seated. Greetings from Valet, reception was all professional warm and welcoming. Wait staff was very friendly, engaging, real. Had recommendations, knew the specials. The view is beautiful. Fantastic selection of seafood, prepared in a variety of ways. Salad, a simple house salad was special as it was fresh, and made with a unique dressing that was very tasty. It was my wife's birthday and we had a wonderful evening. Wine list was great too. Thanks for the wonderful foodie experience, and welcoming staff and environment.

Seriously one of the finest eating experiences of my life. The view was amazing. The staff were not only helpful but genuinely friendly and conversational. The view from Mount Washington of the sunset and the lights of downtown Pittsburgh not to mention the fireworks after scores by the Pirates at PNC field was spectacular.

The ambiance was old school (fine with me I am old...) with a bit of kitsch (plastic palm trees). Personally again I rather enjoyed that.

The drinks were properly made and served well.

The seafood and the fresh water fish was amazing as were the appetizers and the salads.

Try the grilled cheese angel food cake desert!

Of course it is not inexpensive but I would say for the quality of the food and service in combination with the spectacular view it is cheaper than similar options I have had say the John Hancock Signature room.

I brought my wife here to celebrate our anniversary. Although the view is absolutely spectacular it is not worth spending the rest of the evening in the bathroom with food poisoning. We started with a order of clams which were prepared with way too much garlic which seems to be this chef's signature spice. Next our main entrees arrived- the surf and turf special. The filet was prepared with the Chef's favorite spice - yep garlic. Probably to cover the tainted flavor of the meat. The lobster tail tasted like ammonia which is a product of decaying fish. We only took one bite. Sadly enough we would have had a better meal at Joes Crab shack just at the base of Mount Washinton with a great view of the city from their outdoor patio. Plus we wouldn't have had to spend the evening of our anniversary with a view of the porcelain.
