This zoo is perfect size for my family...we walked the zoo in approx 3 hours. There is a playground (slides, climbing) that the kids loved! My kids liked the kiddy boat ride. I loved petting the sting rays and could have spent hours inside the aquarium. We had a great day!

The monkey house really stinks..I mean really..hold your nose. Otherwise the rest of the zoo is enjoyable. A nice playground stop in the middle for the kids. Expect them to want to play there for at least 30 minutes. nice rest for adults. I go every year.

This has to be one of the best zoos we have ever been to. The lay out of the this zoo was amazing, you never had to back track on any of the the trails to see anything. All the animals looked healthy and their compounds were clean and very well laid out. The aquarium was amazing to go through. If you are in the Pittsburgh area I suggest you go see for yourself.

I have been going to The Pittsburgh Zoo for all my life and it is in a league of its own. It is a quality way to spend a day with family, a date, or just a day on your own! The zoo has everything you could want, great places to eat, beautiful exhibits and the animals all look healthy and happy in their habitats. It is perfect for all ages, easy to navigate and there is definitely something to interest everyone!

The zoo is dirty. The exhibits are disappointing. The Aquarium area, polar bears, and penguins are my favorite exhibits. The Columbus Zoo is only a 3 - 3 1/2 trip and there is no comparison. The Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium needs a lot of work and updating. Improvements have been made over the years, but there is a long way to go. Don't spend your money on the "keys" for the talking portion of the exhibits. The keys do not work; the kiosk are broken.
